Loved all the places in France

It was great revisiting all the places I had visited in France while I studied there in college. The story was great, suspenseful. The narration could be improved upon.

Not sure how I feel

Parts of this story were so unbelievable that it distracted from the story, overall. Mainly, the boyfriend is a world class conman -- that's his actual career, but he never really repents , the main character is upset with all of his VERY significant deceptions, but he's cute and has a French accent, so, never mind! Also, their romance is a major component of the story, and I prefer a good old cozy MYSTERY.

Get a different reader

Reader’s delivery was very flat. There were many times when I wanted to quit the read. I wasn’t satisfied with this book.

Pretty good

I enjoyed this mystery but I had a couple of problems. First, the author should have gotten a professional narrator. There were several times when words or phrases were repeated. Second, Maggie is a a bit annoying and doesn't make good decisions. Everything works out for her because it's a book. But, in the real world, Maggie's stubbornness would have not worked in her favor. Overall, the plot is interesting and I look forward to another book by this author.

Maggie in France

Murder, flim flam, hookers, gangsters and a budding love affair. If that’s not enough add in a romance with the Riviera and Paris.

Loved the French locations.

She should have checked on the proper pronunciation of the French cities (ie., Cannes) and words before she recorded this.

Great mystery & locale, but way too much melodrama

I wish this promising book could've been less of a bodice ripper. I guess that I'm just not the target demographic here.

Light Mystery for casual reading

“Murder in the South of France” This is not like the TV Mini Series “Murder in Provence” although it is from the same series (BK-3). Somewhat disappointed and Maggie is a bit tedious as the main character in the book. It is a light murder mystery and not a dark read. It is not of the caliber of Deborah Crombie’s Duncan Kincaid/Gemma James mysteries or Maurizio de Giovanni’s Commissario Ricciardi mysteries but entertaining enough to complete. Experienced as an Audio Book.
