Jax and Sophie are Absolutely Adorable!

I instantly fell in love with “Mistaken” by A.K. Evans, the latest in her Harper Security Ops series of romantic suspense. Jax—narrated in the deep,super-sultry voice of Jason Clarke—is a good man with a big heart under that rockin’ body and protective intensity, and the lovely Sophie is the perfect complement to him! Played by one of my absolute favorite audio leading ladies, Ava Erickson, Sophie is as loving and giving as she is gorgeous! Both narrators really bring us Evans’s sweet love story—so much uncertainty and self-doubt in both characters honestly that it is just so dang adorable! Each and every time, Evans gives us great plots, lovable, relatable characters, and so many moments where you just can’t put it down once you dive in. So looking forward to the next installment!

Sophie & Jax are the perfect couple!

Evans is simply incredible! I've yet to read a single book I didn't fall in love with.
Mistaken is the 11th book in the Harper Security Ops Series. While not at all necessary, I do recommend reading them in order since there are characters from previous books that appear in others. Mistaken is all about Sophie & Jax and might I say they are the perfect couple!! Even though they seem like an unmatched pair from completely different worlds, they compliment each other perfectly in every way. Sophie is an heiress who has had something extremely sentimental & valuable taken from her. Jax is just the guy to make sure it's brought back to her. Jax doesn't believe he has a chance with Sophie, given she's wealthy. The more he gets to know her, he sees she's a much different person than he predicted. The slow burn of this one is perfection and really builds their story in such a beautiful way. While there isn't as much suspense and action in this book as there was in others, I think it was the perfect amount to not draw away from the romance. Seeing Jax give Sophie everything she dreamed of in that epilogue really completed this story so well.
I listened to this on Audio, and I am SOO glad I did. These two narrators are the best! I could listen to Jason Clarke all day long. Nothing better than that deep, seductive voice. Pair that with Ava Erickson's ability to tailor her voice to fit any female character and you have the best audio duo ever. I hope to listen to these two together many more times.

A good addition to the series

I always find that listening to the stories brings them to life and makes me enjoy them more. That was the case with this one.
Jax Turner has been an investigator for Harper Security for quite a while so he’s used to all types of individuals.
Sophie Belmonte has always been judged for whom she appears to be and keeps to herself. When one of her father’s much loved cars is stolen, he engages the services of Harper Security.
That said this new client is one Jax hasn’t been able to figure out. The attraction is immediate but she’s wealthy and definitely out of his league, or so he thought.
What happens when Sophie is in danger? Will Jax and his co-workers be able to keep her safe?
In the end, will these two realize that together they are stronger and that love is worth the risk?
This was another engaging story in the series. Though it took me a while to warm up to Sophie, Jax was wonderful from the beginning to the end.
The narrators Ava Erickson and Jason Clarke bring the story to life.

Oh my Gezz!!! Sophie and Jax are perfect!!!

Jason Clarke as Jax, yes!! I don’t think another narrator could have pulled this character off the way he did. Match Jason Clarke with Ava Erickson and you will always have a great audio book to listen to! Ava Erickson has a very distinguished voice and can match her tone with any character and lucky for us, she does Sophia perfectly!!!

Oh my Gezz!!! Sophie and Jax are perfect!!!

Sophie inherited her father’s prize possessions when he pasted away, his cars and she cherishes those just as he did. So, when one of her late father’s prized cars is stolen, she turns to Harper Security for help, where she meets Jax. She finds herself seeing the man and secretly hoping he sees her for something other than a wealthy woman with some pretty expensive cars! Jax feels like he has to prove himself to her, that he isn’t good enough for someone with her wealth and stature. He hopes that if he can solve the case of her stolen cars that she might at least consider going out with him!

I love when the story pulls other characters in the plot and makes me remember why I enjoy reading AK Evan’s books! I always have to do a reread or listen to them again!

No mistakes here!

Sophie is judged for her looks, her possessions, and the amount of money she has. Like she could help how she acquired her wealth. She was hard-working and determined. But then her father's prized vehicles are stolen and she seeks help from Harper Security Ops. Jax Turner was the best guy to handle Sophie's security needs. But keeping things business only was tough with the attraction they had for each other. They were the perfect pair! Ava Erickson and Jason Clarke were great narrators. They brought the story to life and made the characters seem so realistic.

Sophie and Jax's chemistry was off the charts!

I will never look at my kitchen counter the same after Sophie and Jax. Whew! Their kitchen scene was off the charts. Did someone say desert? Yes please! We know when the men of Harper Security fall, they fall hard, and Jax was no different. I absolutely love that Sophie was willing to put herself out there and go after her man. I'm so glad their misunderstandings of each other were hurdles they got over quickly because once they explored their crazy chemistry it was over for both of them. In the end Jax got his woman and Sophie got the future she dreamed off with a man that loved her fiercely. Another great story by the amazing AK Evans. Bravo! Ava Erickson and Jason Clarke were phenomenal as Sophie and Jax.

Jax and Sophie Are A Great Couple

Jax and Sophie are this absolutely wonderful couple. The banter between these two is funny and poignant. If you want a funny, sweet, and suspenseful love story with a healthy dose of blood pounding excitement near its conclusion, this is for you. Ava Erickson and Jason Clarke knock this narration out of the park as they bring this beautiful couple to life.

Opposites attract

Sophie and Jax appear to be from opposite sides of the tracks at first glance, but little do they know they're both pining for each other and just need to give each other a shot so they can get everything they dreamed of. But just as they are loving and living their best life, danger strikes and it's a race against time for Jax and his teammates at Harper Security to find her before it's too late. After the plot is is escalated with action, danger, and suspense these two ride off into their sunset. Great narration brought the story to life.

Misunderstanding lead to HEA!

Jax and Sophie are a great addition to the Harper Security Ops stories! These two are brought together when Sophie hires HSO to find a missing car. Both are so interested in each other but both assume the other isn’t for the first part of the story. But once they get brave and put themselves out there - they are quickly one of the best couples out there. I loved the dynamic between the two was fantastic!! Ava Erickson and Jason Clarke were fantastic narrators for this story. I love listening to anything they read especially together!

Suspenseful

I love the mystery of trying to figure out who the “bad guy/guys” are. It kept me on my toes. The book seemed like it was all good but then wham, someone is back to taking Sophie's cars.. And of course love the happy ever after And loved the narration.. I have listened to books where it is one person reading both views and it was harder for me to listen to those.. I like that AK Evans goes the extra step to have a male and female read..
