Publisher's summary

Galleries of Stone introduces a world where magical mountains are entrusted to master sculptors like Freydolf. Necessity drives this recluse from the Statuary to find a new servant. The villagers thereabouts fear him - with good reason - but when people are poor, and homes are crowded, all it takes is a handful of coins to loosen family ties.

Tupper Meadowsweet isn’t the cleverest child, but he’s brave enough to follow Freydolf onto the gray mountain, where the Statuary’s living masterpieces hint at faraway lands, diverse races, unique customs, long histories, and danger.....

Simply Wonderful

I felt the first chapter or so was a little confusing and rushed, but the balance of the book was pure joy. If you are in the mood for a charming, heartwarming story that just makes you happy and content, then this is the one for you.

A change…

I didn’t know I needed a break from mayhem, death , foul creatures and so on…This book is so different from what I been reading/listening to, a breath of fresh air. At 1st my cynical brain could not understand what it was hearing. But I finally got “IT”…. I have book 2 in my library. Will start as soon as I hit, submit…lol

Wow

What a heart warming story. This is definitely one of those stories to go to when you are having a rough time. It brought me so much joy listening to the characters interact with one another. I am very much looking forward to the next one.

A different kind of story.

A good book over all! A bit slow, but it’s a good slow burn learn about the magic and the world type of book, with character growth as a key feature. Great narration as always and over all entertaining.

Family friendly fantasy, your next comfort read

Tupper Meadowsweet is hired as the servant to the outcast master of a magical mountain. Instead of a monster, he finds the sculptor to be someone who needs caretaking and companionship.

A cozy family-friendly story set in a fantastical world rich with traditions, history, and (of course) magic!

A Great Surprise!

Followed Travis Baldree here after the latest Cradle novel, what can I say, he adds a great touch to fantasy books! Enough of the narration though, this book was an amazing fantasy palette cleanser after all the heavy action and adventure novels I read/listened too recently. This book is intriguing, heartwarming, well suited for family listeners and sci-fi fantasy lovers. Looking forward to book 2.

Very sweet and heartwarming

This was such a lovely surprise. This is a very calm, slow, unfolding tale. The characters are very memorable and the setting is so vivid and clear. Although it’s not at all action packed, you find that you just want to be in this world and be in the company of these characters. If you need a sweet, cozy and heartwarming tale, this is absolutely a book for you. Wish there was more fantasy novels like this. And…Travis Baldree delivers another stellar performance. 🖤
