Publisher's summary

After the marriages of her sisters, Mary Bennet is left to run the estate of Longbourn in their absence. Forced to manage a crumbling house in need of repairs, as well as respond to the demands of her mother, Mary makes a most disturbing discovery. How long had the skeletal remains of a long dead woman been hidden in the cellars? Who is she and how did she get there, locked inside a storage cell? With the assistance of Meryton's newest physician, Mary will endeavor to learn not only the identity of the woman, but also the location of her dowry. Will her efforts allow Mary to gain a long desired independence, or will it only hasten the transference of Longbourn to Mr. Collins as the Bennets face financial ruin?

ORIGINAL, IMAGINATIVE, INTELLIGENT & ENGROSSING

This is an amazingly original, and very interesting story, much better and more compelling than many of the P&P variations. Whoever this author is, she should write a Part Two of this story, continue on with Mary Bennet's goals in life and (SPOILER ALERT) let her give in to Atlas's love.
THE AI NARRATION IS TERRIBLE! I don't think Audible should continue with AI readings because the voice inflections are off, one date, 1651, was verbalized as 'one thousand six hundred and fifty-one' and I was lost for a moment, unable to make sense of the sentence. Then there is no change in voice from one person to the other, sad things are verbalized cheerily, and vice versa. A disaster at this point, and for this very good and imaginative story, a great disservice.
