Publisher's summary

As part of human psychology, everyone manipulates a little bit. But some do it on purpose, and some do it a lot. And the way we do it, and the reasons we do it for, matter. Did you know most people lie every day? Did you know that some people have become masters and making other people do what they want them to do? If you want to see through all that, take off your pink glasses and step into the world of dark psychology.

Discover, among others:

  • What Machiavellianism is and why it exists in the first place.
  • How you can become familiar with your dark side and how to control it.
  • What our conscience does and how psycho serial killers have lost it.
  • Catfishing, blackmail, and other scams and schemes.
  • How people specifically abuse others verbally.
  • The differences between sociopaths and psychopaths.
  • How people exercise mentalism.
  • Propaganda and its repercussions.
  • How to spot lies and hidden signs of hostility or passive aggression.
  • Cults and strategies to recruit new members.
  • And a myriad of other topics.

Fascinating

This is definitely one of the most fascinating books on the topic of manipulation. I got a lot out of this, I learned a lot, and I think I got the value for my credit that I was looking for. Oliver Hunt is a talented narrator. I liked listening to him.

I was surprised

This is just one of the absolute best audio books I have encountered, which is the reason that I am taking a small moment to write a review about it. I am trying to point out something bad about this audiobook, but I can not. It's just too good. So without more exaggeration, I just believe everyone must consider listening to it.

Joshua Coopers has got it

He is a great author, and that's why I got this book. I don't know him very well, but I've read one of his other works, and that went well too. Manipulation is everywhere, every day, and Joshua makes some valid points in this 10-11 hour book.

Need I say more?

Almost 11 hours of narration from a professional (or so it sounded) named Oliver Hunt, and a subject that I am into. Yes, it's been on the news all the time: The coronavirus numbers are skyrocketing. But how reliable are some of those things? I mean, not that it's not real at all, but the news often gets manipulated.

yawning...hard

I dont get it, all these raving reviews. folks are entitled to their opinions I guess. As for me, I found it to be just plain old common sense.....at least what I heard. I had to stop after the first 3rd of the book because it flat out put me to sleep. Nothing new in this book about human behavior. I've learned way more about human behavior simply by reading the Bible. the narrator was good.
