Publisher's summary

True love is in the details for the Jersey shore’s premier wedding planner in this heart-swooning series about big dreams and happy endings from New York Times bestselling author Jennifer Probst.

Avery Sunshine might not have a soul mate of her own, but she still believes in happily ever after - for her clients. Making dreams come true is her business at Sunshine Bridal, which she runs with her two sisters. When her best friend announces her engagement, Avery is thrilled to take charge of the giddy bride-to-be’s big day. Less thrilling? Her best friend's arrogant and demanding brother, who just so happens to be the man of honor.

Carter Ross’s first instinct: call 911. He promised to always take care of his impulsive little sister, and he honors that vow. Even if it means taking over her wedding, where he is sure Avery will fail. At best, Avery is unpredictable. At worst, if she’s anything like the spitfire of a college girl he remembers, the main event could run wild.

With Avery and Carter wrestling for control, tempers heat up. So does the spark of attraction they’re fighting with every kiss. As the wedding draws near, it’s time to reconcile a rocky past and make a decision that could change everyone’s lives. Because what they’re rebelling against looks a lot like love.

Critic reviews

“Probst (All Roads Lead to You) opens her Sunshine Sisters series with an effervescent rom-com. The characters leap off the page, the love story is perfectly paced, and an adorable dog named Lucy adds charm. Readers will eagerly await the next in the series.” Publishers Weekly

“There’s a reason Probst is the gold-standard in contemporary romance.” —Lauren Layne, New York Times bestselling author

Love on Beach Avenue is a three-layer wedding cake of best-friend’s-brother, enemies-to-lovers, and just plain fun. Another yummy confection by Jennifer Probst!” —Laurelin Paige, New York Times bestselling author

Love On Beach Avenue

*SIGH* I loved this one from beginning to end! Avery and her sisters are wedding planners and Avery's best friend from college is getting married and wants her to plan her wedding and fit it in this summer. No problem except it also comes with her brother as her best man and Carter and Avery don't get along...until they do. This is a slow start and Carter doesn't believe in love but when he falls, he falls hard. This one was so, so, SO good. I cannot wait for the rest of the sisters to get their happy too.

Great Series Intro

Love on Beach Avenue is book 1 of Jennifer Probst's series, The Sunshine Sisters. Readers who are familiar with Jennifer Probst will think this book starts slow and they would be correct. Jennifer Probst really sets the scene and builds her characters in order for them to last an entire series.

This book is narrated by Samantha Brentmoor and Brian Pallino. They are delicious in bringing the characters to life.

Avery is a wedding planner with her sisters in the family business. Of course when her best friend calls for a quick fire wedding she gladly accepts the task. Little did she know she would be forced to work with her best friend's brother, Carter. Sparks fly and this is a fun read with some steamy scenes.

Overall, Jennifer Probst's books are more substance and less steam. But I love them. I love the families and friend groups that she creates. I will always pull out my earbuds for one of her listens.

Carter turned me off.

I have mixed feelings about this book because while I loved the Sunshine Sisters dedication to their brides, their attention to the all minute details of wedding planning and the overall bridal business storyline I didn’t like Carter at all. Granted, both characters behave childishly which sets the wrong tone for the entire storyline much less a professional relationship. From the beginning of the story Carter is an argumentative a$$ who pretends all is well in front of his sister while he undermines Avery at every turn. He becomes a villain when he uses insider information from the bride to hijack Avery’s plans in an attempt to destroy her confidence and her business decisions. Granted, both characters act childishly which in itself is a huge problem with the storyline but the constant bickering was a real turnoff for me. There’s a big difference between a know it all and a man who sets out to destroy a woman so the sudden uncontrollable lust between the two was not believable to me. In the end I survived this book more than I enjoyed it. Samantha Brentmoor’s performance was well acted and Brian Pallino did the best he could with a character liked Carter who eschews messy emotions.

Wonderful Story

This was a great book. Enjoyed the story and performance. Is there a sequel? Would love Bella and Gabe’s story or Taylor and Pierce’s.

Very cute & fun

On my daily quarantine walks, I’ve been listening to more audiobooks than ever! This story was so cute, we meet Avery, who runs a wedding planning business with her sisters, and her best friend Ally, who is thrilled to be getting married, with her very best friend running the show. However, Ally’s older brother, Carter, has always thought that Avery was a bad influence on Ally. He raised Ally after their parents died and he wants the best for her, so he vows to help take over her wedding planning as her “man of honor.” Along the way, his animosity towards Ally turns towards attraction and love! I recommend this story & look forward to reading the next in the series.

great story inspiring Ioved the story and lost myself unable to put it down and I can't wait for the next book in time where I would love to have been a part of the story and lost myself in a period of time where I would love to have been a part of the mystery and feeling giving to the moon and back to a period of time where I would love to have a great adventure in time where I would love to have a great adventure in time where I would love to see me when I was so taken into the story because it was hard to hear what the characters were in on the other day I was so taken into the story because of the inspiring and gifted inspiring feeling the author brought this story alive in the same time where I would love to have been a part of the mystery and feeling giving to the moon and back to a great adventure in time where I was just thinking of the mystery and feeling giving to the moon and back.

An overall solid story with great narration.

I am a huge fan of this author's work and her interconnected stories. This one is a great book 1 that sets up the upcoming storylines for the other 2 sisters in the series. In this story the main characters start off being "enemies" in a way but the way it's set up you truly get it. What I appreciated more in this story, same as in her previous series, is the bond and family unit that is built. The emotional moments are done beautifully! The narration is solid overall. I'm glad to have pressed play.

Wow, really awesome

This is my first read ever from Jennifer Probst. This was delightful. It was fun yet mixed with just enough angst to expand the story. I love that I mail and female characters stayed honest to who they were and if they were real people they had reasonable flaws. The author s notes only added to the happy tears at the end. This is a great raid on auto
