h was so self centered

I enjoy the narrators and like the story until the h became a raving loon and so self center. Despised her and how unwilling she was to think the man with PTSD may have had a reason for acting like he did.

spoiler* Hiding her pregnancy from the baby daddy was a b@#$! move and the H did not deserve that.

Loved it!! 💕

This was a new author for me!! This book had me hyped to led from the very first chapter! I binged it in one day and here I am finishing at 2:30am. It was that good, I needed to finish it before bed! Haha! It had a captivating storyline and just continued to build. The main characters had insta awwww of each other but never wanted to tell the other what they were feeling. He had baggage of being a retired marine and has ptsd. She was burned by her ex husband and doesn’t want to trust another man! This book has a HEA and definitely worth the listen….. Jason and Kristen killed this book!! 💕

Fabulous romantic supsense!

Are you looking for a great romance with a lot of suspense? Look no further! April Wilson has it right here with her McIntyre Search and Rescue series! This is book two and it features Owen and Maggie and it's packed with all the things I love in a book. Maggie is a single mother with two kids. When her best friend,Hannah goes missing, Owen is brought in to help the search and rescue team, and once Hannah is found, Owen stays with Maggie to make sure her family is safe. There is a definite attraction, but with Owen's PTSD and Maggie's insecurities, nothing is acted on. Until it is. And off we go! I was totally sucked into this story. I love the mystery, the slow burn and the over protective kids. But what I love the most is learning both of their backgrounds and how it molds who they are. And then Wilson throws in several more curve balls and the story just exceeds my expectations. It's a fabulous listen and I will definitely be picking up others in this series.

Jason Clarke and Kirsten Leigh are one of my favorite narrating teams and they are spot on with their performances. Clarke is the broody, broken Owen, and his voice exudes the pain and guilt he feels. He is one who can let his voice slowly lift as the character changes letting us feel his growth. Leigh is the insecure woman, fantastic mother Maggie, giving her the independence she needs and keeps the wall around her heart until it thaws. She lets us into all the feels as Maggie changes. Fantastic listen!

Beautiful story

The talented Jason Clarke and Kirsten Leigh did a phenomenal job narrating this beautiful, heart warming story. Although it’s books 2 in the series it is easily read as a standalone. Lost and Found has it all: hope, healing, angst, action, sadness, happiness, love, forgiveness and steam.

Same old song

Jason Clarke saves yet another same old sad story from total destruction. If not for his narration I would have never considered this ”book’? I am going to have to be more selective with the books he narrates. I would almost bet that the writer has read Freya Barker’s High Mountain Trackers series. Barker tells a better story.

Suspenseful and Sizzling Romance!

Wow, what a suspenseful, and steamy romance! I loved the sexual tension between Owen and Maggie in the first book and was very excited to find out more about them. I loved how it overlaps with the first book so we get to see those events from Owen and Maggie's POV, and also how their relationship begins. Maggie is a single mom to two teen boys. She works hard and loves taking care of everybody. Owen is a ruggedly handsome, retired US Marine, who suffers from PTSD. They connect instantly, but are afraid to act on it for different reasons. Owen is younger than Maggie, so she feels insecure, thinking he would want someone younger. Owen loves her strength, and how she cares for everyone. But he feels unworthy because of what happened to him overseas. He also loved her boys, but doesn't want to cause any problems. They work closely together and slowly fall hard for each other. But when someone comes between them, will they be strong enough to fight for each other? This second book in the McIntyre Search and Rescue series, continues to be an exciting and steamy romance, with plot twists that had me completely invested in Owen, and Maggie and cheering for their HEA. My heart broke for what Owen and Maggie went through in their pasts, but it made them the smart, protective, and passionate people they are today.
I loved listening to the talented Jason Clarke, and Kirsten Leigh as they brought this story to life so flawlessly. Clarke had the perfect balance of Owen's protective, alpha dominance, with a swoony tender side, and Leigh showed us Maggie's strength, resilience, and vulnerabilities so beautifully. They easily drew me in, and made this story, with all it's twists and turns, even more exciting.

75% of the book is a rehash, of book one

The narrators are great, and the story after about 70% was really good when it was truly Owen and Maggie”s story. I am not sure why almost 3/4 of the book was a rehash of book one just from a different point of view. The wording and dialogue was almost identical. When you finally get to about 70% the actual story starts. From there on the book is really quite good.

Loved

The books and now I’m collecting up the audiobook of them, this story was about Hannah McIntyres friend Maggie Emerson who was being protected by Owen Ramsey in Hannah’s story this is a continuation about Maggie and Owen who is ex military and has PTSD, Owen is also from Dominic & Sophie’s story, Owen falls in love with Maggie but Maggie’s son Riley was being a typical teenager and Owen was him in his pas life and thought he was doing the right thing when he left early in morning after he slot with Maggie her son Riley caught them and had a strop about it and told Owen to leave so he did, meanwhile Riley gets lost and Owen is called in to find him, once that’s done he tries to apologize to Maggie who in my opinion is being a little too hard on Owen but Maggie is pregnant & Owen finds out and HEA eventually

Sweet and Protective

I appreciate when the right story comes along at the right time. Hopefully it’s not a spoiler to say this one has an HEA, but I needed the low-angst heartfelt story right now. A plus for me was that the female was the older one in the relationship. I like a hood, strong, alpha male. One who tries to always do the right thing because he has the biggest heart. Thanks for this series and the men we can fall in love with!
