Publisher's summary

The incredible story of a lead singer's rise to fame and his crushing fall when he lost his singing voice, his career, and his marriage - and then found a new calling more in tune with God than he ever thought possible.

Mark Stuart was the front man of popular Christian rock band Audio Adrenaline at a time when the Christian music scene exploded. Advancing from garage band to global success, the group sold out stadiums all over the world, won Grammy Awards, and even celebrated an album going certified gold. But after almost 20 years, Mark's voice began to give out. When doctors diagnosed him with a debilitating disease, the career with the band he'd founded and dedicated his life to building was gone. Then, to his shock, his wife ended their marriage, and Mark believed he'd lost everything.

Unsure of his future, Mark traveled to Haiti to help with the band's ministry, the Hands and Feet Project. When the devastating 2010 earthquake hit, media learned he was present and sought him out for interviews. Ironically, Mark became the scratchy voice for the struggling Haitians, drawing the world's attention to their dire circumstances. In the process, Mark found a greater purpose than he'd ever known before. In this gripping, compelling new audiobook, Mark Stuart overlays his story with passages from the gospel of John, urging us to listen for God's voice and to embrace his big love that calls us into a big life.

Thank you Mark

What a great book, thank you for sharing. I wish I had a greater vocabulary to express what your work means to me and my family. Your voice has never been lost, your songs and work still ring true today, there is not a Sunday that that voice doesn’t fill our house! Our family has a tradition of sharing Sunday breakfast together and your music fills our house and hearts. I
Thank Jesus for your music it has gotten me through the worst and best of times! Thank you Brother May the Good Lord bless you and yours!

Wonderful heartfelt story of God’s work in a life!

I like this book very much. I personally know Mark went to college with him and the original members of the band. I sang on their first demo tape with my sister Helen. These people were kind and genuine. Mark’s family are really nice people. And I’m happy that even in sadness and tragedy God worked through his life. Many children in Haiti have bee aided because of his mission.

Listening while having my own voice issues.

I'm a teacher. My platform is small but important to me. as I struggle with voice issues, I'm encouraged by Mark's story and thankful for the reminder of who holds me in his hands.

I was also lucky enough to be at Kentucky Christian College when A180 was there and followed and loved Audio Adrenaline's music through the years. It makes me sad that Mark feet so alone. The fear of judgement from the church is a huge issue and the least Christ-like behavior. I hope we can change that in the generations to come so that the Church truly reflects the attitude and unconditional love of Christ.

Great book

As I was listening to this book, I could see this play out as a movie in my mind. I grew up in the same small rural area as Mark, Garth and Michelle. Mark, Garth and myself were in the same high school graduating class and Michelle was a few years ahead of us. Oh the memories this book and story brought back. This book took me to some depths of my soul and beliefs along this listening journey, I myself struggled to understand. Thanks Mark for the wonderful journey down memory lane and for the insight and reassurance that God works in his own way, sometimes not the way you want, but he can get you through the toughest of times. Kellie

Awesome book!

As a big Audio Adrenaline fan (still listen to the oldies to this day) I loved hearing about Mark’s story. It’s inspiring and beautiful to see how he let God use him in all of his situations. Would recommend this book 100%!

Amazing Story from a man God has used immensely

I may be biased cause audio adrenaline played such a huge role in my life growing up, but this book is fantastic. Mark Stuart, a man whose words were the soundtrack to my growing faith as a youth, has grown to be a man I respect incredibly deeply through this book. His journey is raw, emotional, honest, and life changing. The same raw voice that spoke to me as a young kid just trying to find truth in the world has now come along side me and told me that it's ok that you struggle because I did too. Mark's journeys and struggles are presented in a beautiful way through his writing in this book. I highly recommend it to any Christian, not just fans of his music.

I loved this book!

From the very first chapter I was captivated by the story. It was fascinating to see the journey of the creation of Audio Adrenaline and to hear how even very very successful people struggle to find God. It was encouraging and inspirational, I would highly recommend it. The narrator did a beautiful job.
