Publisher's summary

The incredible conclusion to the trilogy that started with the instant New York Times best sellers Furyborn and Kingsbane!

In this epic finale to the Empirium Trilogy from New York Times best-selling author Claire Legrand, two queens, separated by a thousand years must face their ultimate destinies.

Queen Rielle, pushed away from everything she loves, turns to Corien and his promises of glory. Meanwhile, whispers from the empirium slowly drive her mad, urging her to open the Gate. Separated from Audric and Ludivine, she embraces the role of Blood Queen and her place by Corien's side, determined to become the monster the world believes her to be.

In the future, Eliana arrives in the Empire's capital as a broken shell of herself. Betrayed and abandoned, she fights to keep her power at bay - and away from Corien, who will stop at nothing to travel back in time to Rielle, even if that means destroying her daughter.

But when the mysterious Prophet reveals themselves at last, everything changes, giving Rielle and Eliana a second chance for salvation - or the destruction their world has been dreading.

Just....wow!

This trilogy didn't let up and only intensified. I struggled to keep up with the switching characters and time lines at times but if I didn't break for too long, I was enraptured!

What can I say!!!

I absolutely love these characters they bring joy, sadness, heartache and tears. This story is so well written and even more so narrated.

To the narrator: thank you.. for bringing this characters to live with your voice. I applaud you.

Wow! such a great read!

As the 3rd installment to the trilogy, I was pleasantly suprised! Fiona Hardingham is my favorite Narrator, bringing so many characters to life. Legrand did an excellent job explaining the world, and very neatly bringing the story full circle. I was worried about how she would end this, but there were so many emotions!

Loved the series.

Wish the series could continue with the awakening of the Empirium and continuing lives of Eleana and Simon.

OMG!

When I thought this series couldn't get any better it just kept topping itself! I was a little sad about the culmination and wished for a different outcome but that doesn't take away from how awesome this book was. This would make a fantastic movie!!

Finished on a whirlwind!

The narrator is one of the best. She brings you severity of every situation perfectly.

The author crafted everything perfectly. Truly a great read.

A Finale Worth the Torment

I nearly gave up half way through because I got emotionally invested and the things happening to certain characters was nearly too much for me. I'm so glad I kept listening. It was totally worth it.

Terrible Volume Control

This is one of the worst audiobooks I have listened to. the sound quality is atrocious. The volume is drastically uneven and some parts blare so loudly it hurts your ears because you have to have it so loud to begin with because huge chunks are whispered.
Just an absolutely awful recording.
