Publisher's summary
SHIFTERS, WITCHES, WEREWOLVES, VAMPIRES. If that's your thing, then Holiday Hills is your home.
USA TODAY BESTSELLING AUTHOR Carolyn Ridder Aspenson is back with the next installment in the Witches of Holiday Hills Cozy Mystery Series where you’ll sit at the Enchanted Café and Bookstore sipping a cup of Bessie’s special coffee while her familiar parrot Mr. Charming repeats movie quotes and loves on Cooper, a snarky Burmese cat familiar.
I can't believe I'm living out one of my own amateur sleuth novels. The only difference is, in real life, I don't have a clue who the villain is.
Welcome to the magical town of Holiday Hills, where trouble is brewing and the stakes are high! One of our quirky, magical residents is a thief and a murderer, and this time, it’s personal.
Bessie Frone, the beloved owner of the Enchanted Bookstore and Café, is in BIG trouble. Her family wand, made of pure gold and passed down for generations, has been stolen. Of course, Bessie is heartbroken, and now she’s ready to sell the shop and the building unless the wand is found.
I can’t let her sell the Enchanted. It’s the heart of Holiday Hills, the place where gossip is always the daily special, and Bessie’s coffee is to die for! Well, not literally, thank Goddess!
Now, as a magical amateur sleuth with a snarky Burmese cat familiar, I so what’s necessary to right this horrible wrong.
With a list of suspects that includes a vampire who won’t keep her hands off my man, an angry shifter, a witch with a jewelry business, another witch who swears the wand is hers, and a stranger who seems to be in all the wrong places at the wrong times, I know finding the wand and the thief won't be easy.
But I’m determined.
To make matters worse, one of the suspects ends up dead, and the clock is ticking to find the wand and the killer before Bessie signs that sales contract.
Even though my hottie witchy boyfriend who’s also the police chief is on the case, I'll conduct my own little investigation.
So grab your familiars, witches and wizards because we've got a mystery to solve! Will I find the wand and the killer before it's too late? Only time will tell in this magical world of danger and secrets!

Another Entertaining Read
I do enjoy spending time in Holiday Hills with Abby, her friends, her family, and her guy. Oh, and let's not forget the wonderful familiars. Who doesn't love Mr. Charming and Cooper? The relationships (magical, familiar, and human) are always entertaining and the mystery compelling. This visit was no exception, and as a bonus, we get to learn a bit more about Abby's and Bessie's pasts, not to mention a golden wand. What's not to love?
The narration was well done, and the story flowed well.
