Relentless, non-stop tension

We've all read or seen the average zombie story:
Outbreak, surviving, find safe place, maintain it for a while, safe place falls to zombies, go find another temporary safe place.

What I like about this and it's prequel is that, since it happened so early at the beginning of the outbreak, and it happens so fast and so chaotically, there is no maintaining a safe place for any considerable amount of time. I don't know what the next numbers in the series hold, but for the time being it's relentless and unforgiving, your characters feel like at any moment they might break under the stress or the exhaustion because they can barely stick around the safe spot for hours, or even less than a day before one zombie attracts a horde. For me that's one of the things that really make this title stand out: The idea that safety at this point is impossible even for a couple of days, and it's a long walk until you break down and fall, knowing the dead don't get tired.

It's a survival nightmare and I love it

so it's got mistakes

all in all this is a good story I'm spending my credits on it and I don't regret it. like title says it's got mistakes changing that oil in a vehicle with a single quart . there are a few things in the book that make you go wait that ain't how that works. still even with those small mistakes it's an enjoyable book and an enjoyable series this book is much more coherent than the first when you were just learning the characters and it bounced around without much warning. see you at book 3 to see if it keeps up this pace

"optional" headline

After tearing thru book 1, I was thrilled to find there was a book 2. I loved this one as much as book 1 although the ending is quite the cliffhanger & although I found out on kindle that there is a book 3 & 4, they aren't available on audible as of yet. Hopefully they'll be coming soon, but until then I'm thoroughly enjoying other titles available by this author & have yet to be disappointed

Fair to good zombie tale

Was ok. Narrator was good and the storyline was good. Not sure I would ever read it again but it was a decent first zombie read. It did become somewhat monotuous after a few chapters of non-stop zombie chasing and killing, but the characters were diverse and interesting enough to keep it entertaining.

so Fing good!

so glad I didnt have to wait very long for the second book narration to come out. Best way to describe this book? love hate relationship. while this is the case though, I feel it lends some realism to the story. Not all characters live, just like in real life, bad things happen to good people. Hell, sometimes there is no reason behind the act, it just is. This, the author does flawlessly. This is also where the reader may find themselves frustrated by a sudden death or event. These are just small detours and bumps in the journey that ultimately sees these characters live and die, but it's the journey that makes this story so great.
also, it takes the author two whole books to mention the word zombie. I was starting to think the characters in this universe didn't have the zombie genre!
Overall great story, I eagerly look forward to the third book in this series!

patiently awaiting

to read the next one. I can almost see each character as they survive this apocalypse. This is a great listen to, especially if your into zombie stories. I actually found myself pensive on the edge of my seat while listening. I stayed up late many nights devouring both titles. Well done. I have sent both titles to several friends.
