Pretty Deep Stuff

I'll start with the narrator first; I love when the audibles voices are soothing with the perfect speed.
It perfectly gelled with such a sensitive topic such as this.
I feel like a weight has been lifted from my heart after reading this and I'm extremely hopeful moving forward.

Everybody Faces Embarrassment at Some Point!

Dr. Jennifer Alison is just too awesome to really describe, here. I've spent time listening to a number of hrr audiobooks, my preferred method of ingesting tjis type of material so I can stay on the go, and I have to say that this is one of my favorites. This book had a section about getting past embarrassment and it really hit home. We've all faced it at some point or another and Dr. Alison does a great job of breaking down why it just isn't worth it to wallow in self pity.

Sorrel Brigman does a wonderful job narrating and I'm so glad to have this as a part of my collection of similar titles. This is one of Dr. Alison's longer titles and I appreciated that a lot. She goes even further in depth about getting past worry and it, too, was very timely as I traverse the waters of building my own business.

Get this one if you need a quick, pick me up. You won't regret it. Dr. Alison is like a mobile therapist. lol Great job!

Great Write-up! Insightful & Very Helpful

Would you consider the audio edition of Let Go of Worry, Embarrassment and Regret to be better than the print version?

Yes, I consider the audio edition of Let Go of Worry, Embarrassment and Regret to be better than the printed version. Though both the audio edition and printed version contain the same content, however, audio-books always bring another dimension along with it. It presents a great way for readers or listeners to easily assimilate the book. While you have to focus on reading and trying to digest the content of a printed version of a book, audio-books enable you to listen to the narrator reading, which in turn provides a much better way of understanding the content contained in the book.

What did you like best about this story?

This audio-book, Let Go of Worry, Embarrassment and Regret is not a story, it is an inspirational, self-help book. What I like best about the book is its realistic, insightful and helpful tips. The book contains tips on how to let go of regrets, embarrassments and worries. It's Really Intriguing

Which scene was your favorite?

There is no scene in the audio-book. However, what I like about this audio-book is that the concept is built around helping individuals work through and get rid of issues relating to fears, worries, and mistakes. Yes worry can be good at times, it can help to perform better and protect from danger, but when worrying is becoming too much, it can affect the ability to reason appropriately, to effectively solve problems as well as affect one's relationship. It can also cause emotional, mental and physical problems which include regular illnesses, hair loss, lack of sleep as well as bodily pain. This book by Dr Jennifer Alison help every individual to understand when worry is becoming too much and in the process getting harmful.

What insight do you think you’ll apply from Let Go of Worry, Embarrassment and Regret?

There are lots of insight in this audio-book and most of it actually points to me. Everyone is a victim at a stage in life to fear, worry, regrets and embarrassments. However, the one that resonated with me the most is to let go of my regrets. There is a certain stage in my life that I took the wrong step which in turn dramatically changes a great deal of my life. It was a regret I have held onto until now. This book has helped me to understand that letting go of this regret is the best that could ever happen to me.

Any additional comments?

Like I said earlier, this book talked about three very important things that torment many individuals of this generation and you have to let go of these three things to stay happy in Life. Dr Jennifer Alison wrote this book to help everyone get through these torments and get rid of fear, worry, regret and embarrassment. This book provides helpful, practical tips on how to get rid of sadness, worry and hate, how to be your best without being embarrassed and how to enjoy life freely. It is good to learn to get rid of my regrets and I will recommend this book for anyone looking to live a life without regret, fear, worry and embarrassment. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Break Free From Negative Emotions And Live Life!

The author established a common ground with me right from the start of this book, helping me to understand that I am not alone in the battle against my negative feelings and that it is the normal. She further helped me appreciate the scary truth that dwelling on these negative thoughts and emotions are very much harmful to me and affects my outlook in life.

From my personal experiences, I fully share the sentiments of the author and I could relate with her feelings and thoughts. Her words touched my heart so much. It was such a direct, firm and yet tactful message to me.

One memorable moment of this book is the positive and motivating outlook the author painted. She inspired me to think deeply about some negative things which is troubling me. At that point, I paused briefly and thought deeply about so many things weighing me down and robbing me of my precious joy. And then she said, let it go. This was so inspiring. I actually felt like I had a chain saw in my hands and I was using it to break free from the bonds of negativity. So soothing and comforting.

The performance of the narrator Sorrel Brigman was incredible. Such a great book about negativity could have easily been dull and the positive effect may easily be lost. However, Brigman was able to bring the experience to life, using appropriate modulation and pace at different points. I also appreciate the emphasis laid on the positive and practical steps to take, it helped overshadow the negativity I was feeling. It was uplifting.

Emotions? Well for one, the book made me moody in a positive way. It was more of a time for sober reflection. I stopped at intervals an evaluated my life, my worry, negative feelings making me unhappy, so many things, It was quite emotional, and then super inspiring. I thought, was all these negativity really worth it? It cant be more powerful than I am! I will definitely let it go and be happy.

We make or break ourselves. No one can deprive us of being happy. We owe it to ourselves to be better, to be happy, to live life to the fullest without negativity. While it is not easy to just let go of negative feelings, it is very possible! Moreover, it is the best decision we can make. I am pretty much encouraged by this book and I am determined to apply the practical steps given and enjoy life. Thank you so much for this great book. It is a life changer.

Get out of your own head

Have you listened to any of Sorrel Brigman’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No. I love the way the author punctuated every major point with a quote from a notable personality though.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The section about staying in the moment is one I found very helpful. I tend to worry about things I can’t control and try to achieve perfection. You cannot control everything and it’s ok. Also, the book also stressed the importance of living for yourself, being yourself and keeping away from comparing yourself to other. I used to embarrass my best friend through high school without meaning to because her parents kept comparing us and judging her based on the things I did. I felt guilty for making her feel bad and it caused a few awkward moments.

Any additional comments?

I remember the first time I had to do a public debate. It was for a French class. Even though I was well prepared, I got on stage and froze up. I didn’t stop feeling embarrassed subconsciously till I gave a valedictorian speech and got a standing ovation. A significant change in temperament occurred because every time I was worried about facing a crowd, I found myself replaying the French debacle repeatedly. Until I came full circle with another awesome speech, I didn’t have a new image to replay. The book was very right in that until we identified the underlying thoughts behind our worries and embarrassments, we would keep dwelling in the past.

I’m my own worst critic. Even when everyone says I did a good job, I can’t stop myself from feeling like I could have done better. I appreciate that the author took time to break down these real-life situations and helped me better understand that I am master of my own destiny and the future is less scary when we let go of the past and stop regretting our decisions.

Who we are is the product of all our decisions, both good and bad and until you let go of clichés and socially acceptable concepts, then can you fulfil your own potential without the burdens of worry, embarrassment and regret holding you back.

This is a very helpful and practical guide for dealing with serious issues that bothers most people. I wholly recommend it to everyone.

Much more than i ever hoped for...

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I most definitely would - i will write more in the future but this book was much more than i could hope for and my fave part was how realistic it was. Nothing too "out there", all really good solid advice on letting go of issues and anxieties and leading a happier life. Good narration too

Amazing book, was worth my time.

Where does Let Go of Worry, Embarrassment, and Regret rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I can not compete it with others book, it was amazing in its own way. the result matters the most, which was very satisfying.

Which character – as performed by Sorrel Brigman – was your favorite?

Sorrel Brigman delivered each word with a soft and loving tone. she narrated the book in a very impressive way.

Any additional comments?

I regretted my entire life because of one dreadful decision. I lost everything. it made my life turn upside down. afterwards, trust was least of my concern, anger, anxiety, being worried, living in a regret, holding a grudge, these were the aspects of my life. it was deteriorating. I used to wear a forced smile 24/7.
This audio book changed me from inside, now I try to see the life positively, with a real smile. what I learned is life is not a piece of cake, it will throw things at us, it is up to us how we cope with them, and the best answer I received is with a smile. my attitude towards others entirely changed, I am polite, calm, could trust people. it lighted me of hope.

It is a spirit lifter

If you could sum up Let Go of Worry, Embarrassment, and Regret in three words, what would they be?

Happiness is a word that is thrown around so much that it can easily lose its meaning. But as hard as happiness can be to truly define, it can be even more difficult to attain. Everybody wants to be happy, of course, but what if they’re not? Is happiness something that comes and goes like the weather, or is it something that we can develop and nurture within ourselves?

We as an individual stresses and worries about a lot of things; some serious, others, rather pointless, most of us on this planet are suffering from worry, embarrassment, and regret, scale may vary but most of us has some issues in life.

Jennifer Alison provides dozens of positive affirmations as well as imaginative and occasionally even scientifically tested ways to bring happiness into your life every day,
The advices are really very simple and straightforward to understand yet when we start implementing, you will feel it is a big task earlier, but after a few weeks of practise you will start enjoying what is call the present moment or mindfulness.

I highly recommend her book as well this audible.

What does Sorrel Brigman bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Sorrel has very impressive speaking style which I think was perfect for the book category, I felt goosebumps many times listening to her.

Worry, embarrassment, regrets and anxiety are the major inhibitors of a happy life. In the past, I have been having bad moods every day. Everything seemed to go against me and I even opted out of social life. I was always worried that I might mess up with something and get embarrassed. Each time I made even the slightest mistake, I would takes ages regretting and anger would always ensue. This left me so stressed that I lost all my hope, happiness and smile. A close friend whom I had now been avoiding sensed the change and came to my rescue. He requested me to purchase this book and listen to it over the weekend, with an assurance that I would enjoy it.

What transpired thereafter completely changed my attitude on life and opened my eyes. This book has enabled me to gradually change and see life in a positive way, leaving worries and regrets to the past. I have realised that life will always be hard but how I will embrace that hardness matters most. The methodologies stipulated in this great book have proved to be of massive assistance and support in my life. Within days of implementing the shared strategies and techniques, am already getting back on the track and the progress is just amazing. I have been able to reduce my stress and anger significantly, and I no longer worry about the past. The author’s philosophy and positive avowals are inspiring, encouraging and very helpful.
