How to lead for staff retention from two leaders

Time-tested advice from two entrepreneurs with an emphasis on leading over (micro)managing. Outstanding examples on the right way and wrong way to motivate staff and key points from scientific studies on successful business practices. The motif is simple: give a damn about your people and they will give a damn about you and your business (and not resign). As they say, "be an empathetic leader not a disconnected boss" by fostering a supportive, rather than toxic work environment.

Great Ways to Engage Your Employees!

As someone who spent their career in middle management, I was able to identify with this book as both a manager and an employee. I was surprised and encouraged by some of the statistics that stated employees care more about being happy at their job than how much money they earn. Isn't treating your employees with dignity and encouragement the same concept we should be using in all of our relationships! It is time to treat everyone in your life with respect and there are many great ideas in this book on how to do that in the work place. Great read for every manager.

AN IMPORTANT TOOL TO EXCEL!!

This audiobook genuinely astounded me. This is an excellent tool that can motivate and enable us to realise our own leadership potential. This audiobook was a huge help to me in developing my own confidence and taking advantage of the possibilities that came my way. I definitely recommend giving this book a try if you're searching for one that will inspire you to become a better leader and accomplish your objectives. Establishing your team's culture and the value of acknowledging both successes and failures in some portions I really appreciated listening to. The narration was quite simple and interesting to listen to, in my opinion.
The quality of this audiobook truly amazed me. This is a great resource that can inspire us and help us reach our own leadership potential. I credit this CD with greatly assisting me in gaining my own confidence and seizing the opportunities that presented itself. If you're looking for a book to motivate you to improve as a leader and achieve your goals, I certainly suggest giving this one a try. I particularly like the parts where the culture of your team was established and the importance of recognising both triumphs and failures were discussed.

I found the narration to be fairly straightforward and enjoyable to listen to.

Should be required reading for all managers

This book should be given to everyone in any type of leadership position. The section on micromanagement alone is worth purchasing for managers who are self aware enough to want to be better leaders.
