Publisher's summary

The power of lateral thinking.

Lateral thinking is one of those terms that many people have heard of, but probably very few of us really know what it means. “Lateral thinking is a phrase coined by Dr. Edward de Bono as a counterpoint to conventional or vertical thinking. In conventional thinking, we go forward in a predictable, direct fashion. Lateral thinking involves coming at the problem from new directions - literally, from the side.”

Examining the herd mentality.

In this audiobook, we’ll be discussing a few topics all of us will face. Herd mentality, insecurity, and topics that are related to how we can “think outside the box". We’ll talk about why and how people act the same way or adopt similar behaviors as the people around them - often ignoring their own feelings in the process.

We have been trained to listen to the constraints of the outside world and the social standards of the society and fail to use all of our resources to change even the smallest of circumstances in our lives. It is time to tackle problems in our life, from lack of space to starting a new career on a small budget or even relationship problems.

What this audiobook proposes at a surface level may not appear to make an impact in your life. But as you listen and apply ideas from this audiobook, you’ll begin to understand how changing the way you view your circumstances can change how you approach all problems in your everyday life.

Very insightful and informative

A good book to start opening new ideas within your self, also learn to develop new perspectives towards life and keep it as a generator and an in-depth and good introduction to expanding your consciousness.

Think outside the box.

you can not teach someone to think outside the box when all of their teaching has been inside the box they will revert back to what they have been taught . the only people who think ouside the box are those who dont take everything they are taught as gospel they question everything and try to find a better answer . me i dont even know where the box is so i question everything and try to find a better answer and if i cant find a better answer i will come up with my own answer sometimes i am right sometimes i am wrong and if i am wrong i keep looking till i get it right so thinking outside the box is mind set you have to be open to the fact that literally anything is possible

Lateral thinking details.

By making use of metaphors, lateral thinking enables one to think the exact same thing. I like how this book is a classic work improving creativity. Chris, the author of this book, presented how to stimulate the mind in new and exciting ways. This is incredible!

Made me very sceptical to honest. felt like i was lectured at school. examples are simple but are obviously made up. if you want another parent mini lecture for an hour this is for you. But its nice to hear this book 8n case you might learn something new or feel like tou aready know all of this and dont do any of these things.
