Too long
I could not finish this book,I really tried hard but could not find it in my heart to do it.
It is a marvelous and detailed book filled with historical details but it is not my cup of tea. I got lost in the labyrinth of dates and historical details and after some time the cruelty of the horrors of the war got to me. I kept hoping that through one chapter to the other the storyline would get lighter but alas that was not the case.
I was no longer interested to know if Hernando ever got to meet Fatima again.
I am hoping some good soul who has a stronger stomach than me will leave a review with the spoiler in the reviews thread.
