Prolific reader, who always wished I could find a way to read and drive. Then, I found Audible. Wish granted!
cute, funny, fable
The stories are nice and short. Perfect for my 5 year old's attention span.
He reads in such a way that I even found myself giggling once or twice while listening along.
Price was perfect.
I bought this story collection to share with my six year old granddaughter as we traveled in the car. The vocabulary of this classic was filled with words no longer in use today or expressions familiar in The King's English, but not in modern USA. The narrator's voice was a muffled British accent and difficult to follow. She listened to the stories, but I regularly had to define words and clarify what was happening. I personally just got tired of listening to his voice.

It's a nice classic for mature readers/listeners.
Luckily these were cheap. Not all the stories are good for little kids, or even sensitive adults! Rabbits get shot, chased, and hurt. My son is 9 and didn't love them.
This selection was discounted to $.95 which made it wonderfully affordable. My children love to listen to the stories and look at the book at the same time. Peter Batchelor has a deep, baritone voice and a classic British accent. It reminds me of a grandfather reading the tales. He does a very nice sing-song and various voices, but does not have the range, of, say, Jim Dale. However, I think it very appropriate for these stories.
Peter Batchelor performs a great Mr. MacGregor. He is crusty and bitter and a little villainous. Mr. MacGregor is such a nebulous character in my memory. He does an excellent job bringing him to life.
I'm not sure anyone wants to listen to ALL the Potter stories in one sitting, but this is very nice. It is very easy to select the story one wants. My children use it on their own.
