Publisher's summary

Grasshopper wanted to go on a journey. “I will find a road,” he said. “I will follow that road wherever it goes.” Here are four of your favorite Arnold Lobel stories together in one audio collection! From Owl's surprising house-guest to the small pig's quest for the perfect mud puddle, Arnold Lobel's stories are filled with one-of-a-kind characters and more than a little silliness too.

Our family favorite

Any additional comments?

This was the first audio book my son enjoyed. We began listening when he was 3.5 and he is almost 5- now his little brother (2.5) loves it too.

I love that it continues the feel of storylines and genre like Frog and Toad. We love Arnold Lovell!

I love the calm soothing voice. And I love the storylines. They’re perfect for me and my son at night before bed.

Excellent - especially for bedtime stories

Hi! My children and I love these stories. It’s a great value, about an hour of reading time, and wonderful story telling. We’ve fallen asleep to this many times, and do listen to it over and over. I’d like other recommendations that are as good as these short entertaining stories. The performance voice was awesome. Loves it!

Very good stories and reading

An unusual and wise book of stories, very much in the vein of frog and toad. Well read so as to be clearly understood.

Great for young children

Given my daughter's (who is almost 3) love affair with the Frog & Toad audio collection, I downloaded this one in an attempt to add more variety to my commutes. This series has been another huge hit. Included are the stories of Owl at home, Grasshopper on the Road, Uncle Elephant, and the Small Pig.

Of these, "The Small Pig" suffers somewhat because it's obvious that some meaning was conveyed in the illustrations that is lost to the listener. However, that hasn't stopped my daughter from requesting it over and over again.

The narration of these stories is excellent, and the content and length are perfect for younger listeners.
