Publisher's summary

After his last run-in with the fairies, Artemis Fowl had his mind wiped of his memories of the world below ground. Any goodness he had grudgingly learned is now gone, and the young genius has reverted to his criminal lifestyle.

Artemis is in Berlin preparing to steal a famously well-guarded painting from a German bank. Little does he know that his every move is being watched by his cunning old rival, Opal Koboi. The evil pixie has spent the last year in a self-induced coma, plotting her revenge on all those who foiled her attempt to destroy the LEPrecon fairy police. And Artemis is at the top of her list. In a brilliant move, Opal escapes by cloning herself and masquerading as a human in order to carry out her schemes. Her first act is to lure Captain Holly Short and Commander Root into a deadly trap. Her next step is to destroy Artemis by turning his own genius against him.

Once again, it's up to Artemis Fowl to stop the human and fairy worlds from colliding. Only this time, Artemis faces an enemy who may have finally outsmarted him.

Great Series

Lots of suspense and creativity in this one. And more Mulch Diggums :>). I’ll miss one of the characters, though, and the voice the narrator gave him.

The Best so Far!

I loved this book. I've listened to the first 3 books in the Artemis Fowl series, and between all of them, this has the most profound effect on me. I laughed, cried, and cheered more times than I can count! Never has a book caused me to be so animated. I adore this. Everything about it was perfect. If I could give more than 5 stars... I would in a heartbeat!

Entertaining even for adults

Although this book is geared towards teenagers it is still an entertaining and enjoyable read. Artemis Fowl the boy genius and thief is at it again. This time he is trying to be the best art thief somehow gets wrongfully accused for another scheme that reconnects him with the fairy people. Now they must try and save the fairy and human people. This is the 4th book in a 7 book series. I have been listening to them and have loved the narrators European accent.

No wonder it's going to be a movie !

The whole series is absolutely delightful. Fully enjoyable for our great grand children & GGPa & GGMa ! Truth, it's GGPa & GGMa who have been sharing the joy of the series with the younger generations.
Nathaniel Parker's Narration makes listening to the entire series like watching a Disney, Pixar & Dreamworks all rolled into one, placing such vivid & colorful pictures in my/ our mind(s).
