Even the adults enjoyed this!

Would you listen to The 39 Clues, Book 1 again? Why?

Absolutley! Great narration, and a gripping plot with mant twists and turns. I was surprised how much the adults in the car enjoyed the book... as much ( or even more than!) the kids!

Not Bad but Not Good

I have expected this book to be exciting and fun just as much as the Percy Jackson series and the Kane Chronicles. However, it seems that I was wrong. I am not saying that this book is that bad, but it's just that it's not a book that can be compared to Rick Riordan's other books. This is not thrilling and also not exciting . However, I really liked the idea of the characters, finding out the clues by following Benjamin Franklin.
If you really want to listen to an audio book that you would not regret, I recommend you the Kane Chronicles and the Warrior Cats.

Shocked

I am shocked how much I enjoyed this book. Historically I have not been a fan of Rick Riordan. So when I was going through my list of titles I didn't expect much when I got to this one. But it is short so I thought I could get through fast.

While it is not as good as Harry Potter or Artemis Fowl it was still a very enjoyable story. I felt the plot moved fast and never really got bogged down. I also enjoyed the way all the characters interacted with each other, even the cat has personalty.

The narrator does a very good job of expressing emotions and giving each character a distinct voice. He really made the listen enjoyable.

Now I find that I am really looking forward to book 2. I am extra curious about how the changes in authors for the series will impact the style. I am happy that the narrator stays consistent.

Well ready

Excluding a few times when things where mispronounced like the authors name, everything was well read. The voices used were a great fit for the characters, and there was a good variety between the characters.

Review by Areesh Malik

This is the best mystery book ever made, I heard about this book one time, but this year, I was in 7th grade, and I had to do a work for my ELA class, we had to choose a mystery book, and read that book, and once we read it, we had to do a work on it, well I decided to choose this book, and I read that book, and it was so fun and amazing! I know that I will do good on my work! I know it might not be true, but the story was clean and very easy (and kinda funny), and I give it a two thumbs up!
