Once there was a tawny scrawny lion that was always hungry, until he met 10 little rabbits who taught him how to eat carrot stew instead of them!
The Saggy Baggy Elephant

This is a great little collection of oldtime favorites. Anytime my kids don't want to settle down for bedtime I will play the Little Golden Treasury and everyone gets quiet to hear the stories. The narrator does a great job of "animating" the story for your imagination. I have other children spend the night sometimes and these stories are so good, the children remember and request that I play them when they come the next time. Even I like to listen to the stories with the kids as it takes me back in time to great childhood memories.

The CD for the read-along edition of "Cars" was my son's favorite thing to listen to until I bought this collection. Every night, for weeks now, this CD has been the request at bedtime.
