Rich in suspense and brimming with adventure, the New York Times best-selling Underland Chronicles unfold the fate of the Underland and the great warrior, Gregor. Suzanne Collins is also the author of the best-selling Hunger Games trilogy.
Book two left off with Gregor reading the Prophecy of Blood: a prophecy that calls for Gregor and Boots to return to the Underland to help ward off a plague. But this time, Gregor's mother refuses to let Gregor return to the Underland...until the rat Ripred assures the family that Gregor and Boots are needed only for a short meeting, which the crawlers will attend only if their "princess" Boots is present. Gregor's mom finally relents, but on the condition that she go with them so they aren't out of her sight.

"The addition of the mother adds a fresh dynamic to the fast-paced, suspenseful story." (Booklist)
Fantastic! Great intro of the mother. The ending leaves a wonderful opening for a continued saga. Hoping that Suzanne Collins keeps the plot alive.
Never heard of Gregor or this series before, but now I am a convert. Excellent!
Qualifies as a great book and fairy tale you are sad to hear it end.
Love this author and style of writing. Was completely pleased with the narrator and the book content.
Audible was too slow to get the last book in the series so I had to buy the hard copy--its that good!
We are really loving this series. Adventure, relationships, interesting creatures, fun. The narrator does a great job as well. His character voices are consistent throughout. You always know who is talking. Looking forward to starting the next book.
I started this series with my fourth grade class. They lived it and wanted more so I read book two aloud as well. Then our year was ending and they were making plans to read the rest of the books during the summer. That is a good story.
In the top ten of my favorite audible stories! The series sucks you in so completely! My son is replaying the series because he enjoys it so much !
Suzanne Collins really brings the story alive. I love the way she developed the characters in each book. She also introduces new characters in each new book. I am sad when she kills off her characters that she convinced the reader to love.
The cliff hanger at the end. It made me want to purchase the next book right away.
Only in the series. He has a good range of voices to fit the variety of characters.
When Hamnet and Frill died.
