Chris Colfer is a literary genius. He takes the classic fairy tales and with his own brand of magic, he makes them come alive in a relatable way. Great stories for young and old!
Estate planning lawyer and mom to two boys. My older son liked audiobooks as an infant, and I've listened to a lot since then.
My son liked this installment more than I did. I don't think the author is the best narrator. More significantly, neither of us thought the characters were likable or believable in this one. The female protagonist and many of the female minor characters seemed unlikeable. My son thought the male protagonist was very immature given his stated age. That said, he enjoyed the story and that saved it for him.
One of The Land of Stories books. I can't say enough how wonderful this book is! The books and the audio are enjoyable for all ages! The kids get older one year per book. They start a 11 now 16. Great original fairy tale, there the original fairy tale characters are rewritten with a twist woven I a great original story.
I loved how the story showed the reader what was happening in the different worlds, Alex was learning to become Fairy Godmother as Conner was on a trip to Germany. And the ending was the best part!
