Only the heart can feel the Jolt love brings.
Bethany had her heart broken, closed off for too long. Ali comes to the Summer camp she volunteers at to lend her musical talent with the kids during a break in her tour. They feel a jolt when their eyes meet. They don't hook up till it is time for Ali leave but when they do the journey begins. Kris Bryant has written dialogue you can feel. Emily C. Micheals gave Ali a voice that was hot liquid touch to the ears. Bethany overthinking conversations with her literary companions made me laugh and chuckle often. The hot steamy connection these two women have gave me a jolt. I loved the old fashion romance by long distance love and intimate hook ups filled my heart. I have begun my long journey to read Kris Bryant's books, let the fun begin.

Meh
Sweet story but also kind of boring I have to admit. The neurodivergent aspects of the MC Bethany were totally relatable. The narration was very one note however, with some mid sentence pausing. At other times it felt almost automated. Also, not much difference between the characters voices.
