Great Resource!

Being in the healthcare field, and having aging parents, I felt this book was well timed and well written. These are one of those times in life when many don't know where to turn and what resources are available to assist them in caring for parents who are aging and need additional assistance. This book is a great resource to demystify the complexities of navigating the aging scene.

Great book.. There are so many takeaways from this book that we can all learn from. As a nurse I believe that delaying the aging process is essential and this gives so many excellent tips on how to do this. I would certainly recommended this for anyone who has to support their aging parents in order to be able to spend as much quality time with them as possible.

Very insightful

I got this audiobook to help in the situation we are in right now. It's not with my parents, rather my grandparents but they might as well be my parents too. It's a lot to deal with and adjust to for everyone involved. The author did an excellent job giving her own insight and experience for the reader to understand and connect with. She covered a lot of items, even the embarrassing ones, which I appreciated.

So relatable

I've been telling many of my close friends the past few years that I get a little emotional when I see my parents aging. Seeing what my parents go through with their parents as their health declined made me very sad. Even though my parents are not at that age yet, I find this book quite relatable. My grandmother had Alzheimer's and she passed away a few years ago. This book gives me some comfort that our family was not alone in this experience. Michelle provides good advice on how to communicate and take care of your aging parents so they can live long and healthy. Thank you for sharing your tips!

Compassionate Help

My sisters and I are taking care of our elderly mother and this audiobook really helped us understand how to handle all these situations that we've never been in before with our mother. This book was so compassionate and gave us hope. We especially appreciated the other stories of some of the other people in our situation. Highly recommend if you need hope and help taking care of your aging parents.

A ray of sunshine during difficult times

I simply loved how this book allowed to reduce the heaviness that comes with watching your parents/grandparents lose their abilities and having to step in and become a caregiver. It is such a difficult situation, however this listen reminded me that it does not have to weigh so heavily on us, all of the time. I can see how painful and frustrating it is for my elderly grandfather to have to face losing physical and mental abilities, and the last thing I want is to be an additional source of shame or burden. I'm very grateful I had a chance to listen to this book and begin to change my outlook on this situation.

Perfect for all the Filial Sons and Daughters

As a devoted daughter myself, I really found this book not just informative but especially relatable. What I love most about this book is how it talks about the reality of todays generation of filial piety. The author talks about the strategies to help your parents stay independent which is a huge bonus! Highly Recommend!
