Publisher's summary

Admiral John “Black Jack” Geary fears the greatest threat to humanity may be itself in this gripping continuation of the New York Times bestselling series.

As far from explored space as any human has ever been, Geary and the Alliance fleet are on their own, protecting a diplomatic mission in territory belonging to an alien species with still-unknown motives.

His already complex and dangerous mission is further imperiled by deadly challenges from other human factions seeking to harm or exploit the aliens. When another alien species whose technology is far more advanced than humanity’s arrives, the stakes are raised to the highest possible level.

Only the most serious danger comes from an unexpected source.

When presented with orders to carry out actions he believes not only are mistaken but would be contrary to the ideals of the Alliance, Geary has to finally decide whether he must invoke the power that his long-revered name holds, all the while knowing that this might endanger his entire fleet, tear apart the Alliance, and destroy everything he has fought for.

The Outland series has been ver good, I really look forward to them. I also hope the series does not end here and Mr Hemry continues to build upon it.

Great Novel

I’m still impressed with this series even after the war is won. It has tones of newer Horizon and clever political moves in which I bet even today admirals and captain need to navigate to look out for their own. Keep them coming.

Excellent presentation

Can't wait for more, but may have to start the series over, "Jack" may be getting bored, but contents may signal Moore from the origin story may be in the future.

A Gripping Space Saga of Conflict and Redemption

This audiobook delivers an action-packed narrative that explores vast new worlds and the profound struggles within the fleet itself.

One of the strengths of Implacable lies in its steadfast commitment to exploring core values and principles of good versus evil. The moral compass that drives Geary and his allies is front and center, providing a compelling backdrop to the relentless battles and strategic maneuvers. This emphasis on ethical dilemmas and the consequences of one's actions adds depth and thought-provoking elements to the story.

The occasional references to long-lost characters like Victoria Rione remind me how good the earlier part of the series was. These nostalgic nods evoke a sense of familiarity and serve as a tribute to the rich history and excellent characters lost along the way.

I can't wait for the next book-I'm going to listen to the first six books of The Lost Fleet again :)

"Blackjack!"

"Blackjack!" someone yelled. Oh my goodness, this was an amazing book! Blackjack is doing Blackjack things to save the Alliance. I listened to the entire series again before listening to this book. it flows so well, and the paceing is amazing. There are so many twists and turns that I never lost interest. Honor, struggling to do what is right, all presented in concrete ways with amazing examples. This could be the best book of the series, and that is saying something. I hope this is not the end. Regardless, it's been a heck of an adventure! We do need more Ensign Duck!
