Publisher's summary

The compulsion to use substances tends to drain every ounce of life from an individual, but this is often equally as true for their family. Most family members do not know where to turn for support and guidance when a child, parent, or spouse becomes ill. Society offers little to educate the public or destigmatize the problem of addiction.

I Love You, More is distinct from other books on the market on addiction as it is meant to be an emotional education on the family systems affected by addiction using three fictional short stories, all with very different endings. These three powerful stories have common threads of hope, pain, mistrust, grief, worry, change, acceptance, belief, and the constant presence of varying levels of sanity across a broad spectrum.

I Love You, More offers insight into the various perspectives and experiences of family members who have dealt with the harrowing disease of addiction. The goal of this quick, accessible book is to be the conduit that allows you to enter the body and mind of a substance abuser and their family, to see the world through their eyes as they navigate their way through one of the most heart-breaking and gut-wrenching hardships they will ever face.

very knowledgeable

I found it to be very knowledgeable, informative, and helpful on just how addiction can affect your loved ones.

Struggling Dad

Thank you for the great examples of how families struggle with accepting, and working through the bonds of addiction. I am currently dealing with it, with my 23 year old son. Though i also use 12 step work to deal with it, I am in the somewhat unique position of being a recovering alcoholic, myself. I will be purchasing copies for my daughters, as well, in hope to help them understand, and cope with their brothers addiction. Again, thank you for this helpful book!

Suicide and addiction

Accurate. Tough. Wish we could have saved our daughter - or to rephrase - we wish she could have saved herself and knew what a wonderful life she could live.

First book on the subject and I liked it a lot

I am new to the challenges of addiction of a friend, and this was a great introduction to the emotional cost, as well as the path forward. Really appreciate it.

Very good

Very helpful for anyone struggling with addiction, or anyone who has a loved one struggling with addiction. And for anyone at all, because it helps to understand addiction as the disease that it is, instead of judging the unknown.
