Publisher's summary

A human on the run, making her way through the expanse of space - Faith’s only goal is survival. She’s willing to do whatever’s necessary to stay alive, even if that means stealing the ship of the only alien who’s shown her kindness since her abduction. Rylan Graz Bregen’s life changes when he looks into those deep green eyes - he’s love struck. But when the woman of his dreams vanishes in the night...and takes his ship with her, he thinks he’s been played for a fool. The pair never imagined they’d see each other again, but when Rylan is offered a life changing opportunity he finds that fate has other plans. On a wild planet, fighting against all odds, will Rylan find what he’s been looking for when he’s hunting Faith?

Loved it.

I loved the story line. Somehow it reminded me and my husband towards the end. When we were brought closer due to a life or death moment in our marriage. Anyhow good laughs for sure.

Amazing!

This is my first Tracy Lauren book, it definitely will not be my last. I'm waiting for book 2 in the hunting series's. This book caught my attention from the beginning and allowing me to submerge into Faith world, while she comes to terms with letting the past go and start loving herself so that she could allow others to love her.

Another great book by Tracy Lauren

Scott R. Smith did a good job with the narration. His female narration was not great.
I really enjoy the non-threatening alien stories. There are so many with enslaving, dominating, and scary species. This one is another feel-good romance.

Comforting

This romance makes me feel like I’m wrapped in a warm blanket, snuggly and cherished. I so appreciated that the heroine was forced to make the decision to either stay on her path to destruction or to change her mind. To change her mind was to change her life. The only thing that would have been better was if a female performer had been included as part of the narration.

Awesome!

So well written. The two main characters were interesting and so different. A truly heart felt story. The narrator did a great job but personally I prefer a female narrator to read the female parts. Also, a few more sexy scenes would have perfected the story. Heading to book 2.

Off

While I enjoyed the author’s Alien Instinct series, this book didn’t work for me. The biggest issue was
Mr. Smith’s narration. He would be great narrating a MM romance, or a straight up sci-fi book, but his voice for Faith was neither feminine nor sexy. Dual narration would probably have upped the story by another star.

Even with a better voice for Faith, however, there were some lesser issues.
(1) Rylan was too patient, honorable, and dull. Aliens hunting, eating, and abusing sentient beings? So many scumbags and Rylan is all about stunning them and not shooting to kill. Every time Faith steals from him, attacks him, or proposes disreputable things, Rylan is oh-so understanding, psycho analyzing her and gently explaining how there’s a better way. It was all so unrealistic, but worst of all, it made for lots of very unexciting speeches during what should have been non-stop action scenes of being hunted.
I was starved for more action, humor, or fireworks between Rylan and Faith.

(2) There were out of place word choices. For example, this is an alien universe with spaceships and technology, but Rylan’s culture still has a patriarchal system with sisters dependent upon their brother to marry them off and pay their dowries. I half expected ball gowns and lords and viscounts.
Then there are the F bombs which were unnecessary.

(3) The first sex scene happens early and was awfully sweet compared to the second scene which was oddly crass/alpha, especially for Rylan the uber-gentleman. Or maybe it was just the narration that dampened any sexiness.
