Publisher's summary

Sai has spent half his life locked away in a human psychiatric facility for inexplicable rages and inhuman strength. Drugged and desperate, he is ready to give up completely until one miraculous day he’s rescued by a stranger who not only says his rages are because he’s a rare unbonded wolf omega, but insists Sai is his true mate.

Asher is used to shifters of every sort. Growing up, he was his mom and dad’s first successful foster cub, and along with his large family, they often get emergency calls about shifter kids in trouble.

Except Sai is no child. He’s 100 percent grown-up gorgeous male and 100 percent Asher’s fated mate. He’s also rare. Very rare. Given time, Asher is sure he can explain who and what he is...except when the rogue wolves discover Sai’s existence and the baby he might be carrying, time is something they no longer have.

Then the race isn’t about explaining how much Asher loves him but becomes about saving Sai’s life.

Pulled me right in

This isn’t my usual kind of story, but it pulled me right in and held on tight. I can’t wait for the next in the series.

Narration was superb! When the reader disappears and I’m “in” the story…. When the characters all become their own people… When I look back and think how it was one person, not a full cast, doing all that; the emotion, the voices, the action and drama…. Highest compliment I can give for an audiobook narrator.

Now I’m off to search for more that peaks my interest from this author and this narrator.

PLEASE hurry up and give me book two. Hunters Creek was better than amazing. I could not stop listening. Hunters Shadow sounds even better. Especially since Riley's Mate sounds very Powerful.

Danger

This story is full of high energy and lots of nail biting as Sai finds a place in this world and then has it threatened not once but twice in this story. I loved all of the feels of this this story and they way that we see everyone come together.
I listened to audio version and it was very well done.

I loved this; John Solo's performance is wonderful

Hunter’s Creek is a refuge and foster home for shifters – all type of shifters. Asher was the first successful foster and now he is often called on to pick up shifter kids who are in trouble. When he gets the call to pick up Sai he is surprised to find that he’s not a child at all and that he’s his fated mate.

This story has a lot of twists and turns. Someone is stealing shifter kids and Sai is being hunted because he’s a rare omega wolf. Just when I thought everything was going to work out fine, Victoria Sue threw another curve in the story.

John Solo’s excellent performance of the audiobook kept me captivated the entire time I was listening to it. The nuances in his voice for the different types of drama going on really made me feel like I was a part of the story. I devoured this audiobook and listened to it straight thru because once I started listening I just couldn’t put it down.

A complimentary copy of this audiobook was provided to me at my request but my review was voluntary and not influenced by the author and/or narrator.
