Publisher's summary

This addictive YA horror about a group of teen ghost hunters who spend the night in a haunted LA hotel is The Blair Witch Project for the TikTok generation.

"Fast-paced and freaky."—Kendare Blake, #1 NYT bestselling author of All These Bodies

Enjoy your stay...

When the YouTube-famous Ghost Gang—Chrissy, Chase, Emma, and Kiki—visit a haunted LA hotel notorious for tragedy to secretly film after dark, they expect it to be just like their previous paranormal huntings. Spooky enough to attract subscribers—and ultimately harmless.

But when they stumble upon something unexpected in the former room of a gruesome serial killer, they quickly realize that they’re in over their heads.

Sometimes, it’s the dead who need our help—and the living we should fear.

Not great

I wanted to like this story, but it lacked a lot. The plot points weren’t well developed and the characters were impersonal. The romance arch’s were also forced. Not a great read.

Lackluster

I really wanted to like this story, but it lacked depth. I just couldn't really connect with the characters or feel anything for them. The premise was so cool, but the actual story just failed to deliver. The audio delivery felt forced and, at times, overdramatic.

Nope.

I never got the feel the authors have read horror. It felt very surface level. Like someone had seen or heard of a few famous horror films, borrowed those devices and spewed out a formula that didnt add up. The pacing and suspense were awful. The killer....good lord, it was so obvious it hurt.

And the biggest problem...was how similar it felt to Elisa Lam's story. It didn't feel like they were remembering her but using her tragedy to make some quick cash because they thought Tik Tok plus YA horror equals instant sale.

Lesson of the day: Don't judge a book by its cover.
