Amazing true story of survival and will to live
There are so many things that are truly excellent about this book. The narrator did a fantastic job with all the different aspects of recounting this real life story. The depth of detail and the way Lansing covered all of the hardships, mixed with the gut wrenching reality of the situation‘s these people found themselves in, WOW. It is truly a harrowing story of what the human body can be pushed to with a burning desire to succeed and survive. I highly recommend this book. It was excellent in every aspect

Great narration and incredible story
This book was very hard to stop listening to. The narration was very good especially the accents for the diary entries. The story obviously an incredible one and a true one which reminds me that fact is often more incredible than fiction.

I knew the ending, and yet every minute thrilled!
This book is thoroughly researched and brilliantly written. I recommend it to everyone. I cried at the end though I knew the conclusion from the outset. My son recommended it to me, and I hesitated to try it because I knew the story. I am exceedingly grateful that I gave it a try. After that, I couldn’t stop listening!
