Unbelievable
I rarely review audiobooks, I just listen and move on. This touching tale of the bravery of a few good men however, deserved a review. It is the type of story with the power to cause one to question one's life. The sheer psychological battle that these men faced is otherworldly in comparison to one's daily grind as an adult. I feel there is literally nothing worth moaning about if you weren't one of the men in Shackleton's party. I will remember this amazing story and refer to it at times when I question my own ability to push through. This was indeed my favourite audiobook to date, what an absolutely thrilling tale indeed.

Definitely Worth Your Time!
This story is almost unbelievable, and the narrator captures that drama with both in his tone and timing. His various accents for the characters are excellent, and his reading pace is perfect. I am hard pressed to point to a better narrator for such a story.

The best true adventure story
The story of Shakelton and The Endurance is one of the best adventure stories ever, and Alfred Lansing’s telling of it is superb. Well-structured, vivid, and wholly unbelievable.
The narration adds to the experience, adding to the dynamic personalities of the epic.
Truly enjoyable.

Absolutely incredible story.
This is an outstanding story that should be read by everyone. I still can’t believe the hardship these men passed through. The narrator is top notch. This book is well worth your credit. Other survival books I would recommend are Unbroken, Miracle in the Andes, 438 Days, In Harms Way, and The Aviators (my personal favorite, though the survival story is just a small part of it).

Outstanding!
Unbelievable the determination of these men. The narration of it was well done so as to draw greater attention to the men and not to the narrator. Those were the times of true inner strength that would put us to shame today.
