Included with the workout is an Ab Tutorial that teaches you how to use your breathing to activate and strengthen the deepest layer of your abdominals. These muscles are important because they support your spine, pelvis, and hips so that you get the most benefit from the workout.
The workout includes easy, effective Pilates exercises that focus on teaching strength, stability and balance. Standing Pilates exercises are included to improve your balance and therefore help minimize the risk of a fall or fracture. Do this workout two or three times a week and you'll stop, or even reverse, bone loss!
This workout was created by and is taught by Sherry Lowe-Bernie, owner of Personalizing Pilates. Sherry is a PMA Certified Pilates Teacher, which means that you are trusting your spine to one of the best Pilates teachers you can find. Sherry has over 25 years experience teaching fitness and over 10 years experience teaching Pilates. She has helped many clients who have osteoporosis, some of whom are taller now than when then started!

I purchased this workout for my mother. She wanted to do something at home because she was not comfortable going to a gym or a studio. She's never done Pilates before and wasn't sure about it. After doing the workout, she called to say she loved it! Really easy to follow (especially with the photographs) and the exercises didn't feel too difficult but she could tell she had worked out. Her balance is not good so the standing exercises are great because its strengthening her hips and giving her confidence when she walks. The instructions are clear and easy to follow.

Good, gentle to begin but then real challenge to abs. More attention to switching off muscles needed.
