Publisher's summary

Everything went wrong. And then she went gray.

At 47, newly divorced makeup artist Lela Bennett is dreading her next steps. Dating. Meeting people. Not letting herself go. But then she runs into Donovan James and tries something different - sleeping with her sexy crush from college. Unfortunately, in a post-orgasm stupor, Lela confesses she was in love with Donovan all those years ago. He responds by leaving while she sleeps. The next morning, her gray hairs are practically taunting her. She knows she has to get it together. Forget men. Embrace her age. Own her gray.

Donovan James is a marketing genius, but his ex-wives will tell you nothing freaks him out like feelings. Three years after his one-night stand with Lela, he's focused on his daughter's lifestyle company, but unprepared to meet the face of the beauty division. It's Lela. With stunning silver locks and new confidence, she's no longer swayed by his charms. When business starts booming, the universe seems intent on throwing them together time and again. And suddenly, two people convinced that romance was behind them are wondering if love could be what's next.

Contains mature themes.

Why would I hide my sparkle!

The story is a blessing!. She radiates sexiness at a time when the world is telling us that grey hair means you sit on the side lines!.
Thanks for all the love, encouragement and zest for living told in this story!

Loved the cover and older heroine and hero

The cover is simply breathtaking but I'm not sure how I felt about the romance in it. The hero and heroine didn't really remind me of mature people who knew what they wanted from their romantic lives. The hero was kind of all over the place. He reminded me of a man child who in his late 40s still hasn't grown up. The heroine was slightly better, relatable but didn't seem to spark anything in me. I wanted to see more of her putting herself out there in the dating world. Sure she was 47 but she pretty much had amazing skin, a perfect body and the perfect professional life. She could've just gotten a man who was younger. Most 47 year olds don't have the zero baggage she had so I would've liked to see her be more flirtatious and desirable. Couldn't she have been dating multiple people? I think I just had high expectations. Either way, it entertained me for the time I read it. Loved that it was in audio!

Entirely predictable

It was harmless... But just very predictable. And lord she used the word amazing too many times.

Was this womens fiction?

It wasn’t bad but this felt more like women’s fiction than capital R romance. There’s still an hea but it felt forced.

Potential Not Achieved

The thinly drawn characters and plot, along with poor narration, kept this idea from bring what it could be--a book 40-50 somethings could connect to.
