Publisher's summary

A sharp-edged, supremely twisty thriller about three women who find themselves trapped inside stories they know aren’t their own, from the author of Alice and Near the Bone.

Celia wakes up in a house that’s supposed to be hers. There’s a little girl who claims to be her daughter and a man who claims to be her husband, but Celia knows this family—and this life—is not hers…

Allie is supposed to be on a fun weekend trip—but then her friend’s boyfriend unexpectedly invites the group to a remote cabin in the woods. No one else believes Allie, but she is sure that something about this trip is very, very wrong…

Maggie just wants to be home with her daughter, but she’s in a dangerous situation and she doesn’t know who put her there or why. She’ll have to fight with everything she has to survive…

Three women. Three stories. Only one way out. This captivating novel will keep listeners guessing until the very end.

Critic reviews

"In this very satisfying thriller, three women wake up in strange versions of classic story set-ups...can this please be turned into a Black Mirror episode?"—CrimeReads

“A thriller so deliciously original you'll want to devour it whole. Breakneck pacing, compelling characters, and clever meta threads elevate the tension and pull toward a stunning conclusion. An electrifying read."—Rachel Harrison, National bestselling author of Cackle and Such Sharp Teeth

“Henry comes out swinging in this clever, twisty thriller, and it’s a knockout! Full of mystery, horror, and women who’ve had enough, Good Girls Don’t Die is Christina Henry at her best. TikTok take note…you’re going to love this one!”—Christopher Golden, New York Times bestselling author of Road of Bones and All Hallows

Hooked

This book got under my skin from the get go. It’s unlike anything I’ve ever read before. It’s of the moment and parts are totally reminiscent of what goes down on social media. I’m sure many can relate to certain aspects of the book. I thoroughly enjoyed this ride and really enjoyed the ending.

Interesting storyline

Surprised how the three stories ended up coming together at the end. Little heavy on the hate men issue, but good read

Christina Henry Does it Again

Amazing and satisfying as always. I love how many different kinds of women are in this novel even the evil kinds of women. Its the complex characterization thats often missing from so many novels.

Just didn’t quite have it

I usually like Christina Henry’s books. This wasn’t it. I can’t even say it was predictable. It just…. wasn’t good. It was not up to the par of her normal writing. The character dialogue felt very forced. I wouldn’t recommend. The storyline is quite average.

So Disappointing

The story began with an intriguing idea but quickly became boring and predictable. By the end I was rolling my eyes at how unbelievable the situations were. The villian was a complete let down.

The woman reading the story was good.

I did not enjoy the man hate that this story divulged in to. It was very off putting.
