Publisher's summary

The tower has fallen. Banners fly. War brews in the rubble.

Felix Nevarre, slayer of the Ravager King and destroyer of Domains, isn't going down without a fight. The Guild Tower has fallen, and Haarwatch has been split into factions vying for supremacy, and the people despair as monsters overrun the city.

Bloody battle is waged through the streets, but Felix’s power has grown—his core stuffed full with the spoils of his victory—and he's looking to put it to use. When the Inquisition advances its grip on the city and waves of monsters attack, he pushes back.

A new faction rises, gathering beneath Felix's banner those that are too weak for the Guilders, or too faithless for the Redcloaks. The goal of this faction isn’t domination, but survival. In their midst, a dangerous idea begins to brew. It sings in the Spirit and ignites the Mind, while the Body trembles with bated breath. A blue flame blazes away in the hearts of the fearful, leaving behind only hope....

And Fury.

good continuation of the story.

some parts of it seemed a little long-winded, and the robot voices were very annoying to listen to. not so much an issue of the narrator but just the undulating voice was hard to listen to.

Another winner in what will be a very loved series

Where did this author come from? Came out of nowhere is where! I hadn't heard of him until I took a chance on the audio version of book 1 two months ago (narrated by Travis Baldree no less!). Fantastically deep progression, story arcs, action, and MC. Only four books in and he's already provided something loke 100 hours of listening awesomeness.

Book 4 took everything to a whole other level and made the major leap into the epic side of the genre. I don't want to give away any spoilers here but lots of story arcs begin to come together and long standing questions begin to get answered. We begin to see who the true nemesis will be and even get a small hint that there may be something greater still. Almost non stop action and progression that is surprising and original in a lot of ways. Not hyper focused on exhaustive stat lists but does enough to drive the story along (which, in my mind, is the only way to approach this genre if you're ever going to go audiobook).

All in all, this is a gem of a series that I highly recommend that any and all Game Lit RPG fans check out.

Long live The Blue Eyed Fiend!

Amazing

Loved the book and everything about it. Great depth and history to go along with it. Great “magic” system too. Truly unique.

Fantastic

As usual a good wonderful addition to the unbound series. Can wait to read the rest.

Good plot and story progression

I think that this storyline has done a good job of expanding on details that become relevant while simultaneously preventing the main character from getting transcendent knowledge for no apparent reason. It makes sense that he would not have known certain things at an early level that he now knows. And of course, Baldree has done a fantastic job yet again of bringing the characters to life. Love it!

Good but a bit less than the last

The story progresses overall, a bit slowly. Mainly the author wants to bring Felix’s friends up to a comparable lvl so they aren’t useless. I feel the author purposefully keeps making things go wrong for the MC just for this reason, can’t make it to easy or else everyone else becomes irrelevant…. this in turn makes things a bit boring, but at least he didn’t go through the entire list of titles/stats/abilities 30 times like the last books.

**** minor spoiler
People complain about the authority, that the system deemed him unworthy, complete lie, he acquired the authority, but the system put harsh restrictions over him because of his unbound and primordial status. So he passed on it, which is needed, since it would be right to guess the person with authority would be tethered to the city they control.

primordial and god alike can't flex on Felix

I started to like Velis before she became predatory. All higher beings seem to disregard freedom of choice. I like being of velis but im like this Felix much better. Stand tall Nym

So good

This book was just as good as the other ones, I honestly think this book was better then the previous ones. I think book four might be the best so far. I really enjoyed the pacing in this sequel, and how the sequel concluded.

Travis did amazing with this book, he always does good with his books so it's not surprise to me. This book was performed so well, Travis certainly deserves a 5 star, I'd even give him a 6 if it was possible. Travis fits this book so well it's crazy, even if I tried I couldn't find a better narrator for this book.

I loved how strong he got in this book, one of the main reasons I love this series so much is because of the progression. Nicoli really did good with that.

I also like how he didn't go off with the plot in this book, I feel there was some filler, but overall I felt the story was progressing and we were getting somewhere.

I don't really see a change in characters, I do think Felix has some character development in this book, but most of the side characters are the same.

I'm not gonna go in much detail with the plot, but some of the plot twists in the story are just super good. I honestly really loved the plot in this book, in my opinion it was intriguing and interesting.

Overall, I love this series with a passion. I personally this book is the best in the series so far, and I recommend it with a smile on my face.
