Cute love story

Female lead was flighty bossy and towards end of book frustrating/annoying. I mean he’s hot nice and rich. Story was good but kinda just ends. HEA Hoppys mom is psycho and her friends are awesome. Overall a good read but nothing to do with hockey.

Rounding up 3.5 to 4 for Adam

Cute story overall. And I am in love with Adam ❤️. But all of the storylines with the wedding issues are super frustrating because ALL of them would be solved by the wedding planner and/or venue. The bride would never know all the problems #1 goal of the wedding planner is to keep the bride calm and never let her know of any problems) and the maid of Honor and mother of the bride would never be in charge of handling the wedding details themselves. The FMC is also frustrating, no spoilers, you’ll see why she is. Overall would recommend because *swoon* Adam is the best 🥰

The overall story is very cute and funny in some places. Poppy’s character is interesting in the beginning, but about midway through she becomes too annoying and you wanted Adam to just move on with someone else.

There is no hockey in the story [SPOILERS]

Yes, MMC is a hockey pro, but there isn't any hockey action.

Poppy is a sarcastic sassy spitfire redhead. Most of the time Poppy's attitude is a protective defense. When she is with Adam, their zinger quick whit tit-for-tat bantering can easily be seen as sexual tension. More than once I was saying "she's been a bit much" [and I'm just like this], that mother needs to be locked up with padded walls.
There were a couple of couple of work related Triggers for me;
(1) if grandpa needs to be so carely monitored for booze AND he behaves poorly, especially when drinking, !!THEN HIRE A TAB VERI MY NURSE OR LEAVE HIM AT HIS CARE FACILITY!! (2) 95% of all weddings details should have been finalized before the wedding party even showed up at the venue (3) venue runs out of food - THEY HAVE TO FIX IT-NOT THE BRIDE'S MAID/WEDDING PARTY!!! **** this sounds more like a venue event coordinator not an actualwedding planner. I've done more for friends getting married and high school reunions. **** (4) Name tags for the place settings, are in fact the venue's responsibly, that's part of the venue contract and responsibility. (5) crazy mother needed to be blocked from all Interaction and communication. She was straight up CRAZY. Poppy's paralegal mom needs to be kicked down a dozen runs of a ladder. A professional wedding planner knows how to control the momzilla!!!!! Points to a faux planner. 🤪

I was so sad for the pro sport/ star POV - you never know if sometime is interested bed cause of your bank account or your heart.

Not her best word. Normally I have enjoyed this author because of her humor but I found this book more crass than humorous.

Unexpectedly Cute!

Red & Hockey Boy gave great laughs, unexpected turn and definitely some serious OMG moments!! Family, Love & Scared hearts make a great tale of a Four Day Fling!

Poppy, the main character, is quick amusing at first. I didn’t mind the bantering between her and Adam but it did get tiring and annoying. Then, I felt as if poppy was a bit of a brat, very immature, and possibly not so funny. Soon enough, Adam, is quite the same. HEY, THEY ARE PERFECT FOR EACH OTHER! It’s my first time with this author Emma Hart. I have to admit she is a great writer but I wasn’t into the main character. Such a bummer. I couldn’t even finish it up. I did the best as I could. I read til page 166 however, the Performance was great!!!!
