Oh my 👎
I could not get more than 20 minutes into this book. I sincerely doubt the narrator has even seen a Marine on TV. Her pronunciations of simple military terms is dreadful. I do not recomend the audio book to anyone that was in any branch of the US Military. I will try again to read the peint version.

A Female Marine Really Speaks Like This?
I like the story, but some of the dialog is so cheesy. The constant, sickly-sweet "Baby" and "I love you" was irritating and so off putting for an adult couple. When a married couple thinks of their spouse as their "lover" its so juvenile. Also the voices in this story just don't match the characters. Claire sounds like a brainless twit, Nic just doesn't sound like a female Marine, Their daughter Grace sounds like a three yr. old instead of a six yr old. The one voice that was great was the Irish priest, unfortunately he has only a minor conversation in the book.
It could have been so much better.
