Its not terrible; entertaining enough

Anthologies are difficult to review- rating even more so because some stories are quite good while others can be just anemic in every way. These thirty-three short stories are mostly decent with a couple so-so and two that are just too predictable, weak endings to potentially good work- like a manager or publisher said: "Now or not at all! Deadline is midnight so, put a bow on it and you can rework it for a later submission!" And so the aurhor did; just all of a sudden, The End!??! (Im giving these two author's the benefit of the doubt believing they can't possibly be that benign; anemic and uncreative?!!!!?

Most of the stories as mentioned above are worth a listen if for no other reason, being introduced to unfamiliar and new aiuthors. I always click the author's name and peruse their works, awards, popularity and primary genre. If you are looking for work like geniuses, Laird Barron, John Langan, Bentley Little, Konrath/Killborn, Robert E Howard, HP Lovecraft or the Lovecraftian Circle- this is the wrong book and would be better satisfied with: "The Wide Carnivorous Sky and Other Geographies" Occultations And Other Stories, "The Gods of H.P. Lovecraft" or "My Wife Hates Time Travel and Other Stories". All of the anthologies I just mentioned are some of my most cherished reads all in Audiable, Kindle and First Addition Hardback. Collectables. These stories are closer to "The Best Horror of the Year" anthologies of short horror stories. The narration is an ensemble cast of excellent talent each perfect for their given story! This reason alone makes this collection of light to hard boiled horror stories worth listening to. (It is often available with Audiable Unlimited free listens and why I tried it despite one grave review I ignored finding my own opinion not near as grim, just me.
