Loved the story line and all the characters

The narrator rocked this book. I love Kelly st Clare. her books are great. I was hooked immediately. I absolutely can't wait for book 3. On book 2 now

Another YA in disguise

This book is another YA disguised as a mature book. there's nothing wrong with YA and I used to love them all, but when you get to a certain age, the nonsensical angst ridden books are not longer appealing. When the characters are old enough to not be acting and thinking the way they are. The ML for example that needs a pose of 'best friend' to follow him around. the FL who is stubborn, unreasonable, angsty and flighty. it doesn't help that although the narration is good, her male voice is not strong at all, he sounds (and acts) like a high school boy, ergo.

Other gripe I have is all the unique concepts or name that are never explained. and you have to figure out most of it. This is suposed to be the first book in the series but there are concepts, names and traditions that are mentioned like we are supposed to know what they are already. And most of the time it's just the author making up different names to existing concepts in fantasy.

Finally! It is soooo good

After all this time, I finally got more on the supernatural battle story I have been hoping for. I absolutely loved the first two trilogies and I am enamored with the start of this one. I was able to dive right back into the world and the game is back on! This time it’s about all or nothing. Plus a hunk of a male counterpart, so there is that…

WOW!!! INCREDIBLE

Wow!! I was blown away by how much I absolutely died laughing at the comedy and the spicy sections were very well written!! I am on my tippy toes for the next book. I am definitely obsessed with the whole supernatural battles series. As always, I love the way Amanda Dolan does her audiobooks and how she brings the book to life. I'm definitely a huge fan of hers! Of course the book was beautifully written by Kelly St. Clare

I wanted so much to like this book but....

I wanted so much to like this book because I loved Loved the two other series. However The heroine in the series is so unlikable and just downright cold. Additionally, I think some of the humor thought was going to be funny. Did not work at all. I committed to buying the other book on credit in the hopes that this gets better.
But i'm so terribly disappointed.
