Publisher's summary

Tally Dewilde forges her own path when she chooses to go into veterinary medicine and ignores her mother’s desire that she establish a boutique clinic for the pets of the wealthy in Manhattan. When she arrives in rural Upstate New York to join Sydney Valentine’s animal hospital, the break with her old life seems complete on every level. Until an unwelcome reminder of the painful past arrives at her door in the form of Roman Ashcroft.

Rome Ashcroft was forced to give up her dreams when accused of a crime that cost her everything. She intends to start a new life as a PA at the Rivers community hospital, until a simple act of kindness throws all her plans into question. Her past, it seems, is not so easily forgotten when fate brings her and Tally Dewilde together—along with an attraction neither welcomes.

Another great addicting to a great series

I always look for Radclyffe’s books especially the ones who are part of her series. They are well written, the new MC are always interesting and lovable. And I live Paige McKinney’s narration, there is music to her voice.

Lovely book!

This was lovely book about second chances where you least expect it!
It’s nice to be back in the wonderful world of The Rivers Hospital. All the on going characters are pretty terrific. The new characters Rom and Althie get another chance at happiness and the puppies are adorable. Blake and Maggie still are young and in love. Loved the book and love the narrative as well!

Love This Series

The Rivers community is the family of my dreams. I have enjoyed every episode and all it’s many characters. Of course, the Bravo Squad is the best group in puppies I’ve encountered. Keep them coming.

The rivers fangirl!

I love these types of series! It’s so satisfying knowing what’s going on with the other characters. I had a little bit of a twinge when Carrie wasn’t mentioned in the gatherings. I wonder why that was? Anyway still enjoyed it immensely! You can always count on the Rad Paige duo.

Meh. More new characters less intimacy

Wish Radclyffe would expand on the original characters. Two new mains that seem to spend less time to together yet burst I’m in love with you in the last 13 mins. Not as strong as earlier Radclyffe novels.

Solid Radclyffe

Good story, if a little over-simplified. Enjoyable nonetheless. Good narration, but not always perfect.

Mostly great

I liked the book overall. The romantic part of the love story felt way too fast too soon towards the end of the book. Perhaps I know too much about adult attachment. And I KNOW this is a romance novel. But I did find myself rolling my eyes once or twice.

Military triggers

Wow I about had to put this one away. Radclyffe writes a very realistic experience for a soldier’s thoughts and feelings when coming upon a suspicious object in the road after experiencing the real dangers of IED’s (improvised explosive devices) during war.

While it was a trigger for me it was also a very good representation of my personal experiences in Iraq. I appreciate the level of understanding a non veteran can get from this part if the book.

Thank you Rad
