Publisher's summary

“He's the one who got away - but he still makes my blood run hot. Training him at the gym will be a pleasure, but I can't let myself go any further than that”.

Alpha Aiden Kisiner has a pretty sweet gig at the Bareknuckle Fighters gym, training injured and disabled vets who need the reminder that just because they’ve been hurt doesn’t make them weak. But he finds himself out of his depth when his old high school sweetheart walks through the doors...as Aiden’s client.

Omega Sam McCoy went into the Marines to find stability, but being medically discharged has thrown his life into uncertainty all over again. When his therapist urges him to seek out a trainer in order to regain some control and help him cope with his PTSD, he’s nervous - but he’s a Marine. Sam’s expecting a hell of a workout...he’s not expecting the battle that ravages his heart.

Fight for the Wounded Warrior features a second chance with an old flame, an accidental pregnancy, and two men who have to learn how to communicate. Each audiobook in the Bareknuckle Fighters series can be listened to as a standalone.

Ok story

This was an ok story. Both MCs made stupid assumptions by ‘reading’ the other’s mind. They did finally manage to talk it out but a lot of hurt could have been avoided. Performance was well done.

A really memorable series of book's

A lot has been written about these two books, All I am going to say is; If you don't read anymore books this year please take the time to read and or listen to these two books. I promise that you will not be disappointed. They are so very poignant and will pull at your heart strings. The character development and the story lines flow effortlessly and at the end if you don't feel like you know these are people, that you could know or be friends with. They are truly beautifully written books. An avid reader/listener in Rock Tavern, NY.

Sadly Sweet 2nd chance with a twist

I Love a good second chance and this was one of the sweetest I've listened too. It could have been a little more developed and maybe a little longer for me but overall it was a quick and enjoyable listen.

Second Chance for the Wounded warrior

Fight For The Wounded Warrior is the second book in the Bareknuckle Fighters series by Austin Bates. It is a second chance romance between a wounded ex-marine Omega and the Alpha trainer that he left behind years ago. Sam and Aiden are fantastic characters and deliver a great story of angst, sweetness, heat and a surprise pregnancy.

Christopher Kauzlarich narrates this story. The voicework is filled with personality and makes the story shine. The recording is clean and adds to the enjoyment value.

A very good short story!

A strong Omega is always a win with me. Add to the mix an alpha who is not afraid of a strong partner, a smidge of angst and a good dollop of hurt/comfort, and you totally got me :P

And oh, I'm so happy that Sam's heat wasn't a way to get them together without any building! But it worked perfectly to justify not being as careful as they should have been about checking the condoms :P

And also, is fantastic that the pregnancy didn't play any role in they coming together, except for a very tangential way. No shortcuts to an understanding, they had to actually *gasps* TALK!

Sam and Aiden are both really attractive characters, with motivations which are realistic and easy to understand. I liked them both very much, indeed.

A really sweet, lovely story.

The narration was quite good, although there were some issues with the sound at the beginning. None of them was severe enough to distract me from the story :)

Good Story

Sam and Aiden's story was sweet and heartfelt. The narrator did a decent job of differentiating their voices and thoughts to allow me to know who was narrating when I had to stop in the middle of a chapter. I felt like the story was well told and enjoyable.

Sam & Aiden

Sam is dealing with depression and the loss of his leg. Aiden is enjoying his work with a Wounded Warrior training program. A great, second chance romance for this unusual pair. I enjoy a strong Omega.

What Would You Do with a Second Chance?

Sam is a Marine discharged from service due to a medical issue. Losing his leg in a helicopter crash has caused depression and PTSD.

Aiden is the personal trainer who will help Sam become stronger and more at ease with his prosthesis. Oddly enough, Aiden has been in love with Sam since high school. Will this be a chance to reconnect and learn about each other as adults?

The author does not dwell on Sam's medical needs and his emotions, but he does use them to power the plot. They may be triggers for some readers.

The narration was good, but at times there seemed to be a slight reverb or tinny quality to the sound. Christopher Kauzlarich does well in giving each character their own voice.

enjoyed it

Did the story keep me engaged: yes
Did I feel an emotional connection to the characters: yes
Would I listen to it again: yes
Were there any parts I found annoying: not with the story - but i wanted to sit the 2 MC's down and make them have a conversation (lol!)

Easy pace, interesting characters and good second chance romance. I liked that Sam is a strong omega and Aiden as Alpha doesn't see it as an issue.

I find Christopher Kauzlarich easy to listen to and he did a nice job on this title. I could easily tell which character was speaking and felt all the emotions come through.

Overall an easy, enjoyable 3 hours.
