great beginnings

i really liked this the narrator is always great but at times i forgot i was listening to diesel and not stephiane, but i still liked it. i love carl he is my favorite animal character. cant wait for the next one, my mom and daughter loved it also. fast easy funny wow.

Finish series please

Love this series so far. Wish Evanovich would finish it. It's sad when an author just drops a series.

An easy no-brainer read.

What made the experience of listening to Wicked Appetite the most enjoyable?

It was light reading and not real deep. Easy to listen to in the car.

Would you be willing to try another book from Janet Evanovich? Why or why not?

Yes. I love the Stephanie Plum series and this book was a holdover under her new book was released.

Did Lorelei King do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

The characters very much mirrored the Stephanie Plam cast. It might have helped some if it were a different narrator to separate the 2 series. King does a great job with the Stephanie Plum books.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It was a good easy read. Entertaining enough for me to finish. Cute in some parts.

Any additional comments?

I will probably go ahead and read the second in the series. Though I still love the Plum series, it always feel like such a long time to wait and this will fill the gap.

Love the monkey and the broom!

Silly fun, well-written. Evanovich kept my attention and imagination for the whole romp. Now, on to book 2 of the series...

Love this author

And this narrator, BUT, the constant use of shortening every word that ends in “ing” to just “in”, like lookin, livin room, etc was COMPLETELY annoying!! So much so that it distracted from the reading of the story. I was so excited to see my favorite author and narrator only to be annoyed through the book. Please don’t so that anymore, I don’t think I can do another whole book that way.
Other than that, the story was good and quite funny. Worth the credit if you can deal with the reading.

Would you listen to Wicked Appetite again? Why?

I had read this book before getting the audio version. I loved the story (although short and fast progressing) and the chemistry between Diesel and Lizzy, however, the narrator ruined it for me entirely!! 2 minutes into it I was rolling my eyes. She read like a high school student reading in class who just wanted to get it over with. Her rendition of Glo was particularly irritating. She made the characters sound ridiculous. I bought the audio version because I spend a lot of time driving and this gives me a chance to keep reading books. This one nearly put me to sleep--well until Glo speaks!! Her whiney voice would wake the dead.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

I thought she had good detail, but the book progressed very fast (great for people with limited attention span or new/young readers) and ends abruptly which is ok if you want readers to be left wanting more but for avid readers like myself not so much. We want a really good book that keeps us in the story line much longer.

What does Lorelei King bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The desire to go back to reading on my own.

If you could take any character from Wicked Appetite out to dinner, who would it be and why?

Diesel of course--very hot!!

I will avoid this narrator for future books.

I really enjoyed Wicked Appetite but I would not listen to it again.

What did you like best about this story?

The story had a nice fresh twist on the deadly sin of gluttony. It kept my interest and was very witty. I caught myself laughing out loud more than once. The characters were fresh but completely believeable.

love her books so halarious!

I've been following her different book series since I was a teenager wanting a funny book for the beach and all of her different series are wonderful this is the first book of the izzy and desel series that I've already read a few yrs ago but love the magic in it that I had to try the audible book!

Great series

loved this book. I would recommend it. Couldn't put it down. A must read. I love her books.
