Publisher's summary

From the number one New York Times best-selling author of The Husband's Secret and Big Little Lies

A “cheerfully engaging”(Kirkus Reviews) novel for anyone who’s ever asked herself, “How did I get here?”

Alice Love is 29, crazy about her husband, and pregnant with her first child. So imagine Alice’s surprise when she comes to on the floor of a gym (a gym! She HATES the gym) and is whisked off to the hospital, where she discovers the honeymoon is truly over - she’s getting divorced, she has three kids, and she’s actually 39 years old.

Alice must reconstruct the events of a lost decade and find out whether it’s possible to reconstruct her life at the same time. She has to figure out why her sister hardly talks to her, and how is it that she’s become one of those super skinny moms with really expensive clothes. Ultimately, Alice must discover whether forgetting is a blessing or a curse, and whether it’s possible to start over....

Good, but not like her others

What Alice Forgot -it’s a solid book and like all of Moriarty‘s books, it makes you think about your own life. However this does not come close to Her Husband‘s Secret or Big Little Lies. The format is a little hard to follow in an audiobook. The narrator, Tamara Lovatt-Smith does a nice job.

Concussions can bring happiness

Loved this book, let’s us see that sometimes forgetting something is a blessing in disguise. It’s a good reminder that we often let the less than desirable have more weight than the simply wonderful. #happyendings #tagsgiving #sweepstakes

best book!

I enjoyed every second of this book. I highly recommend! Well worth the time. I thought this was a mystery at first, but I am glad it wasn't.

Fun story!

This was an engaging story, and the narrator read clearly and with good inflection. She didn’t provide a distinct voice for each character, but I enjoyed listening. The story itself is an easy read, and I found myself really wanting to find out what happens next. I was initially disappointed with the ending, but rallied at the epilogue.

Disjointed

The plot of this book seemed interesting . With the exception of occasional moments, I was unimpressed. I felt the author was just trying to stretch the suspense by sheer volume of writing as opposed to good story-telling. I did not laugh once, and the plot was just a mess. Great narrator, though. She did what she could.
