Publisher's summary

The first night after Caroline moves into her fantastic new San Francisco apartment, she realizes she’s gaining an - um - intimate knowledge of her new neighbor’s nocturnal adventures. Thanks to paper-thin walls and the guy’s athletic prowess, she can hear not just his bed banging against the wall but the ecstatic response of what seems (as loud night after loud night goes by) like an endless parade of women. And since Caroline is currently on a self-imposed "dating hiatus," and her neighbor is clearly lethally attractive to women, she finds her fantasies keep her awake even longer than the noise. So when the wallbanging threatens to literally bounce her out of bed, Caroline, clad in sexual frustration and a pink baby-doll nightie, confronts Simon Parker, her heard-but-never-seen neighbor. The tension between them is as thick as the walls are thin, and the results just as mixed. Suddenly, Caroline is finding she may have discovered a whole new definition of neighborly....

In a delicious mix of silly and steamy, Alice Clayton dishes out a hot and hilarious tale of exasperation at first sight...

Kinda like a sit-com

The narrator was fine.

How does one explain this book? It's a comedy for sure. Full of sexual innuendo and spunky banter. A little corny with a missing O (orgasm) and the falling pictures from the wallbanging but very amusing.

The characters are cute in a three's company kinda way. I wasn't sure what to think of Simon and his harem or Caroline's missing O. But I liked them both. They were adorable.

The secondary characters are cute too. The two groups of friends that can't quite get the coupling right and the cat that falls in love through the wall. Yep, lots of giggling and laughs in this.

This one feels like a sit-com with some romance thrown in the mix - a little. It's the kind of book that's not serious and not real life at all but pure entertainment. When you need to laugh, this is the book to pick up.

Fantastic Story! Equally Fantastic Narrating!

I have to say that this was one of the best story's I've heard in a long time. It was entertaining from beginning to end without much of a dull moment in between. I definitely recommend it!

1ST BOOK IN THIS CATEGORY I RECOMMEND TO OTHERS!

I love the way this book pulls together the passion of romance with absolute hilarity. I'm sure I am quite a spectacle when others witness me listening while i'm parked at a red light.
With this book, you can't help but burst out laughing.
Heather Smith's narration is impeccable. She brings the well-written characters to life and truly makes you feel voyeuristic as if you are that proverbial 'fly on the wall'.

So much potential.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Well, if my friend is frumpy, maybe. Actually I don't think I have any "friends" this frumpy. I tried to think whether is was the narration or the content that was to blame for my dislike. I am convinced it is both. Although the main characters are supposed to be 26 and 28 yo (revealed well into the story) other characteristics make them sound older. The 26 yo Caroline dotes on her cat like an old spinster and even calls herself "mama" to the cat. She is into big band music. There are lists of items that sound hip or gourmet followed by a frumpy cliche "and so on". And each little quip (some so cliche and corny) is delivered as if it was the greatest thing (tada!) rather than with a dry wit. It represents too much droning on about shopping or food or repeating over and over sappy things the characters are thinking. Never does the author actually recognize that the character is supposed to be Jewish. Caroline uses a couple of yiddish expressions then at one point mentions some cliche about a "whore in church". I guess I find that unnecessary. But there was so much potential. The cover and premise (the naughty neighbor with paper thin walls)...I had to put it down (or permanently pause it) somewhere in the second half. I was compelled to try to give some fair balance in this review (since it has way too many stars) after listening to a couple of Kyra Davis books and the contrast in quality of content and narration was stark.

What do you think your next listen will be?

my next listen were 2 audio books by Kyra Davis.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

Ughh, not been so goofy and sappy/forced?

Could you see Wallbanger being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

With the droning on with stereotypical frumpy woman details in the second half...it would make a great box office flop.

Any additional comments?

I've gone by the star ratings on most of the 70 books I've listened to... and I only terminated this and one other book.

yes

Which scene was your favorite?

scene with ex fiance where she realizes her self worth.

Do you think Wallbanger needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

Great! Worth a Credit...

Would you listen to Wallbanger again? Why?

So I have read other reviews of this book and I have to agree with most of them. I LOVED this book. I laughed from the beginning to the end. I have listened to this audiobook probably 3 times since I bought it and I will listen to it again.

Too long

This book was about 8 chapters too long. It got to the point where I didn’t care if the lead characters got together or not. I was more interested in the secondary characters. I see there is at least another book about these characters but I truly don’t care enough to put myself through listening again about them n

This is too funny!!!

Where does Wallbanger rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I've listened to a lot of books so I can't really rank it.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Wallbanger?

Well the whole beginning of the book is hilarious but she had me at Jordan Catalano.

What about Heather Smith’s performance did you like?

She was exceptional with the right amount of inflection. Very natural and believable.

If you could rename Wallbanger, what would you call it?

I wouldn't. It fits.

Any additional comments?

I'm gonna check out Alice's other book on here and hope it's just as funny.
