Publisher's summary

After 700 years of life, Marguerite Argeneau finally has a career. Well, the start of one, anyway. She's training to be a private investigator, and her first assignment is to find an immortal's mother. It seemed simple enough, until Marguerite wakes up one evening to find herself at the wrong end of a sword. Now she realizes she's in way over her head.

Julius Notte wants to protect Marguerite, and not because someone just tried to take her head off. She doesn't know it yet, but she's his lifemate and he's determined to woo her. It's been over 500 years since he last courted a woman, but surely the techniques haven't changed. Now if only he can keep her alive--so to speak--so they can have that happily-ever-after.

Story--good...narrator--sucks!

If you could sum up Vampire, Interrupted in three words, what would they be?

good story

What was one of the most memorable moments of Vampire, Interrupted?

The train, the stairs...basically all the hot scenes. This story is more apealing b/c the characters, though immortal, are older and more mature. They find love after bad relationship choices from their youth and post kids. How many of us can relate to that? I'm glad Margarette found love -after the a#$hole she married previously. Gives some of us a bit of hope even if this is sci-fantasy. LoL

How did the narrator detract from the book?

The story is a good one but the narrator made listening to this painful. She sounds too breathy/monotoned and her attempts at doing various character voices made me want to throw my ipod across the room. She made the detective sidekick sound like a cave man instead of sexy. Her performance wasn't authentic and made it difficult to get lost in the story. I don't usually take the time to comment but I had to on this one. She should stick to kids books or something else. Overall, thumbs down.

If you could take any character from Vampire, Interrupted out to dinner, who would it be and why?

Julius...mature, moraled/integrity, protective yet respectful of his mate, Italian, alpha male, wealthy, intelligent...swoon. Enough said...

Any additional comments?

Great story but the narrator should be changed to one of the others she's used.

Wonderful story

I loved the story many red herrings and twists and turns in the plot. It was fascinating how Julian was instantly a sexual force to Julianna’s body even when she didn’t “know him”. Also how Christian had figured out half of the story before being told.

my favorite of Lynsay Sands books! loved it!

It's amazing how Lynsay Sands brings several books all together in this one book. how pieces from several others neatly fit together once you read this. they all can be read separately of course but it's fun to see characters evolve and Margurite is my favorite character. I love paranormal romance books with a great sense of humor! . This one does not disappoint!

Favorite Argeneau Story so far

Really great addition to the series, with the exception of the narrator. This story was fun, and the mystery aspect kept it from being more of the same.

Now the narrator..... is another story. She had a weird cadence to her speech and her character voices were just awful. The main character, Marguerite sounded just like an 80 year old woman, and Tiny her part sounded like an imbecile. She had little to no inflection while describing events, even the exciting ones. I have purchased several more in the series following this one and I will be looking through them and returning any with this narrator. Seriously, why would you make the sexy main female character sound like an old lady..?

Love the story, dislike the narration

If you could sum up Vampire, Interrupted in three words, what would they be?

kids "save" mom

What did you like best about this story?

We finally learn more about Margarete's story as she re-finds her life mate.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

The narrator can breath and she lets you know. I don't know why she feels the need to narrate in such a breathy voice but it's annoying.
