Add a life-changing camping trip, the arrival of the town's first policewoman, and a new computer that requires the patience of a saint, and you know you're in for another engrossing visit to Mitford, the little town that readers everywhere call home.
Don't miss out on the rest of Father Tim's adventures in Mitford.

"A cozy and satisfying read." (Publishers Weekly)
I love reading reviews. No plot spoilers please. These are not book reports!
I am enjoying the community of Mitford and its quirky characters very much. The series continues to be a positive, low stress listen.
I can't say enough about these Father Tim books. I live such a hectic stressed out life that I cherish the time I spend in Mitford. I never get tired of listening to these books. If your looking for something charming, kind and interesting to enjoy, like a sweet breath of fresh air, these books are it !
I love all of Jan Karon's books in this series. I have read all of then at least 3 times and listened to them on audio once or twice. Heaven will be just like Mitford- with out the pain of course. Perfection
Jan Karon has written a wonderful series of books. This is book 3 in the series. A Great Book! Read this and the others.
This third installment of the Mitford series is as heartwarming and fun-filled as the first two.We see further developments in the character of Father Tim as he comes to terms with married life for the first time in 61 years, no easy task. Along the way, he offers comfort and compassion to those experiencing tragedy, sadness, and brokenness. There are many important life lessons to be learned from the sometimes wise and sometimes naive, Father Tim.
Father Tim - because he's so human I can almost see him!
I have listened to the series a few times and this book is the one that really stands out and stays in my heart. Laughing 1 minute and sobbing the next. So many lives are changed.
Lace and Poo Ball, Aunt Sadie, Dooley and Poo Ball's mother, Sissy and Sassy. Great people, a few who are from a living condition that is abhorrent and unimaginable. I "love" the love between the Father and Cynthia, so sweet. I also love that this series is Christian and has powerful morals.
I have a half hour commute to work each way. I love listening to audiobooks on the drive. It makes me look forward to the commute!
Although this is not the most exciting book in the world, I really enjoyed it. It made me laugh and cry. Most of the book is light humor, with a touch of poignancy. I listened to this on 35 minute commute every day and looked forward to it each time I got in my car. I'm going to download the next in the series.
I took a chance on the first of this series ("At Home in Mitford") and despite myself, brecame enthralled. When my local library no longer had the Audio CD's, I had to dip into my Audible.com credits to continue the journey. Well worth the investment. Jan Karon spins delightful characters who act with compassion to create a delightful tableau of small town life.
I loved that Christ love is weaved through the pages
I loved the stroy line of one preacher living his life to honor God in everyday situations
His narration was wonderful, easy to listen to and soothing
