For years, Paula Woodley has suffered the broken bones and shattered self-esteem caused by an abusive marriage. But what can she do? Her high-profile, Washington power-broker husband is not a man to be crossed. Or so he thinks. The Sisterhood may not be an organization found in any of his memos, but he's about to take a meeting with them - and they'll be setting the agenda...

Students out just okay not one of my favorite books in the series. And a new character that is added kind of doesn't make sense because it's a complete stranger and their story line is just too graphic at one point. Unfortunately it really not a good fun story they the other books. And when the narrator does the male voice sometimes it's hard to tell who's speaking because she doesn't always change it enough between characters.
I am really enjoying the "Sisterhood" series of books. If you have not listened to any of them, I recommend you start at the beginning and listen to them in order, not that you have to, because each one only slightly mentions the prior, but it will make your understanding and enjoyment of this series better. I really have enjoyed these, and am looking forward to the next books!!
always a good story! Love the characters and it is narratorated very well. Can't wait to read the next in the series!
Decided to give this series another try...not good. Same old thing. Won't be listening to any more of these.
"A confusing change of pace"
Based on the back-cover text and the plotlines of the previous books in this series, I anticipated the Sisterhood to get "straight into action" in this one as well. I kept waiting for the story to begin and for the Sisterhood to "get on the case" as described in the back-cover text. When that finally happened, the action was over pretty fast and I almost felt like I had been cheated out of a story. Don't get me wrong, this is a pretty nice listen, but the case promised in the back cover doesn't actually start happening until quite a ways into the book.
