Publisher's summary

"My darling Cecilia, if you’re reading this, then I’ve died...."

Imagine that your husband wrote you a letter, to be opened after his death. Imagine, too, that the letter contains his deepest, darkest secret - something with the potential to destroy not just the life you built together, but the lives of others as well. Imagine, then, that you stumble across that letter while your husband is still very much alive....

Cecilia Fitzpatrick has achieved it all - she's an incredibly successful businesswoman, a pillar of her small community, and a devoted wife and mother. Her life is as orderly and spotless as her home. But that letter is about to change everything, and not just for her: Rachel and Tess barely know Cecilia - or each other - but they too are about to feel the earth-shattering repercussions of her husband’s secret.

Acclaimed author Liane Moriarty has written a gripping, thought-provoking novel about how well it is really possible to know our spouses - and, ultimately, ourselves.

This booked dragged and dragged...

This book dragged and dragged on, it had so many good reviews I was so excited to read it! But I just found it boring and predictable.

Enjoyed this book

Read a lot of bad reviews on this book and almost didn't get it, but I'm glad I didn't listen. I enjoyed this book very much, I love the way she developed all the characters and then starts weaving them together to tell the story. It was along the lines of Big Little Lies which I loved. I love all the the different people and their lives and how they end up intersected with each other as the story goes. This author is very good at that, and I will continue to read more of her books.

A bit hard to get into, but

it ended up a pretty decent story. One of my favorite parts was Cecelia being a Tupperware lady. I am staunchly, and actively anti-multi level marketing. MLM reps frequently put up facades of perfection, just to suck you in. But, like anyone else pretending their lives are perfect, it's just for show. I did like how all the characters were relatable, and how the stories intertwined.

Worth the read.

The story starts out slow and has a lot of characters to follow. But the author details each person's life very well. I found it a lot more interesting as I got into it. I enjoyed the narrators voice. Not my favorite book but would recommend this book as a good read.

very familiar

Liane Moriarty is a wonderful author. My only issue with this book is that it seemed like a mix of her other books, and that made it rather predictable. Still enjoyed it though.

Good Book!

I enjoyed listening the narrator. The book was good, if I were to say anything negative about the story, I feel it could have been a bit shorter. it moved a little slow in certain spots of the book!

This story hooked me from the beginning. So much mystery, intrigue, and consequential choices. I enjoyed this from cover to cover.
