Good enough to listen to but annoying at same time

I listen to audiobooks as I clean and do household chores. This kept my interest to listen but only in the way a soapy TV show does too. I’m beginning to severely dislike books with weak women. Why does this stereotype persist that women must be dumb and unable to live for themselves. In any case, I could not stand the Rachel character. She was over the top scornful even for what she had been through. What a bitter bitter person.

I’d recommend this to anyone wanting a light listen that errors on the soap opera side but not for anyone wanting a more in depth book.

Not as good as Big Little Lies, but still great.

Yes I would, but not as much as Big Little Lies.

I absolutely adore Caroline Lee. I would listen to her read the dictionary.

Liane Moriarty's books always make me laugh.

A good book!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes. I fell in love with Moriarty's "Big, Little Lies" and couldn't wait to listen to another book from her collection. The story is solid with some twists and turns and characters you can care about. I also appreciate the themes of karma, consequence, family and forgiveness that exist throughout this tale.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Husband's Secret?

There is a moment in the book when you realize all the separate pieces are coming together to an inevitable conclusion...and you don't want it to happen because it has the potential to be devastating...but you also know it has to happen for the story to unfold the way it was meant to.

What does Caroline Lee bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She is a strong narrator that enriches the stories that she narrates.

Who was the most memorable character of The Husband's Secret and why?

I think I probably empathized with Tess the most. What would you do if you were given the chance to rekindle a relationship with a high school boyfriend? And what choice would you make if it meant abandoning other things that you have worked so hard to build? Her story was probably the richest but also the most-heart breaking and though provoking.

This was probably the best book I’ve listened to in a very long time! The epilogue was the perfect icing on a quite satisfying cake!

This was the best book I've read in a very long time! The author's storytelling lured me in and the characters, with all of their complexities, kept me listening until the very end! I only hate that I didn't discover this story sooner. This is a must read!

Gasp!

It’s been a long time since a book has made me gasp aloud! This was an excellent book from start to finish.

What a winner! I was mesmerized.

I was loving every word and could not stop. Lee is the BEST narrator.

Needed a bit of editing toward the end, but a satisfying finish for sure.

I will listen to all her books.
