Not your typical Scott Harvath

The narrator was not as good as I had expected made it hard to tell when what character was speaking in extended dialogues. There was a lot more joking and poking at character jest fully which was a change of pace. Over all a decent read but a different narrator would have made a world of difference.

Not a Scott Harvath story

I got the book because it was part of the Scott Harvath series. He made a cameo in the story, but it was really about the female Delta team from the last book.

meh...

didn't love it. felt the way the women were portrayed was unrealistic. some of the baddest women on the planet acting like that? not buying it. I need stories to ring more true. story itself left me wanting as well. Generally I am a fan of the Harvath series. this one just fell short

Only okay

This was an okay listen, although it seemed pretty formulaic. The "all ladies team" was an interesting idea, but the author's understanding of how women interact with each other is very, very limited. The story was fine and the narration was fine. One thing: although this is unabridged, it sounds abridged to me. It has odd little jumps and if it truly is unabridged, then it has some editing issues.

It's not terrible

Its alright, but I definitely agree with some other reviews that have suggested Brad stick with keeping his main character as male. (Scot Harvath)

Reader

I do not care for a woman reader! It reminds me when my wife wanted me to listen to 50 shades of grey. 🤮

Improbable

Not a great story, but somewhat entertaining. Not up to the author’s usual work. The women are not believable.

Athena Project - sort of a letdown

I LOVE all of Brad Thor's previous books - and as much as I hate to say it, this one was a real letdown. I know these girls are no Brad Thor, but I found them to be quite whiney and a little too obsessed with sex and men in general.

More fiction than reality

A good yarn. Well written and performed. Just be prepared to suspend expectations of a real world based military / espionage novel for something else.
